I thought you said he was heading toward the pits? ;D Schumi, that was a deliberate mistake to see if everyone on the BSF was awake.

Actually I mean't the 2nd time No that was OK. Ben was on the track and heading towards the tapes when the clock hit 0:00. So he wasn't actually at the tapes ready to race then? In which case, he should have been excluded. Cracking meeting - oddly enough I said to someone at the stadium that I wouldn't mind betting Sub still found something to moan about......!

What was the outcome of the BSF thread this morning after Invadersfan claiming Rory was urging the Witches ht15 pair to "kill" Hans?
What an absurd thing to say!

Logged on BSF this morning to find out what happened about that too Jules, only to find that the thread has been "removed for several hours" Edit: Am I the only one who noticed Andersen doing an impression of a B-52 bomber in heat 15 last night. His on track attacks on Hampel looked desperate & dangerous to me.

There was nothing further said about it since Chris Brown had his say (and quite rightly so.) Just a few people pointing out the error of the post. Looks like Phil's going to have to wade through 21 pages in his lunch hour to find it. But what a thing to say.

Not in league racing. You just need to be heading towards the tapes. Yet more drivel from genghis. The actual regulation states: 15.3.4: The following are starting offences; (a) failing to proceed directly to the Starting Area or otherwise delaying the start of a Heat, (b) not being ready to race or deemed to be under the jurisdiction of the Start Marshal at the expiry of the 2-minute allowance, (c) taking up the wrong position, (d) not complying with the Start Marshal instructions, (e) by any means wrongly preventing the raising of the gate or (f) for a Competitor or Competitor’s machinery or any part of it to touch or break the tapes after the Green Starting Light has been displayed.Since Barker was on the back straight, there is no way he could be "deemed to be under the jurisdiction of the Start Marshal" when the two minutes expired. Just a typically inept display from Chris Gay.

You're looking at the wrong rule Sub As long as the rider is on track and heading towards the tapes, then that's fine. As demonstrated last night.

Come on then, smart arse, let's see the relevant rule quoted. The fact is that the above is the relevant rule, you might not like that, but it is. Barker should've been excluded. End of story.

Sub, I'm at work and don't have my electronic copy of the rulebook with me. So I'll let you find it yourself. But you definitely have quoted the wrong rule - being excluded for two minutes is NOT a staring offence. Exclusions for starting offences count as a ride - and an exclusion for two minutes does not count as a ride. And did the referee exclude Barker last night. No. Proof that, as usual, I'm right. ;D

No, just proof that - as usual - that the referee was incompetent. Say what you like about Marek Wojaczek, but he knows what the two minutes means and how to react when it's exceeded. And I'll wait for you to get back to somewhere you have access to the rule book and then you can quote it yourself.

Genghis, that's twice you've said it's not a "staring" offence. Are you sure you're reading the right rule book and it's not "pervs guide to the start girls"?

Say what you like about Marek Wojaczek, but he knows what the two minutes means and how to react when it's exceeded. Don't be a berk - the GPs and league speedway have different rules regarding two minutes, as indeed they do regarding tape breaking.
