Genghis, that's twice you've said it's not a "staring" offence. Are you sure you're reading the right rule book and it's not "pervs guide to the start girls"? Oooops - I've been found out. Seriously though, I'm right on this. As long as the rider is heading into the direction of the tapes, that's OK.

Then you'll humour me by quoting the relevant rule. If you can't, I suggest you stop making yourself look foolish.

I am not looking. Not seen the meeting yet and the way things are going I probably won't see it until I am on nights next Tuesday. Can't look at many speedway sites.

Then you'll humour me by quoting the relevant rule. If you can't, I suggest you stop making yourself look foolish. Well, it took me all of 20 seconds to find it. Two Minute Allowance A period of 2 minutes, at the Referee's sole discretion, given to Riders to be ready to race. Notice how flexible the above wording is. Not like in the GP series. I've known referees allow the 2-minute warning to stretch to around 5 minutes in the past, when asked nicely by the team manager. And, most referees, I guess, would deem a rider on the track heading towards the tapes to be "Ready to race". Are you feeling foolish now, my Old Mongol friend. Edited as I still keep on typing pits every time I go to type tapes.

Not again surely? ;D It really was on purpose this time - honest EDIT: And at least it's brought a smile back to your face, Schumi ;D - after the unpleasant bickering going on elsewhere on the site.

No that was OK. Ben was on the track and heading towards the tapes when the clock hit 0:00. So he wasn't actually at the tapes ready to race then? In which case, he should have been excluded. Cracking meeting - oddly enough I said to someone at the stadium that I wouldn't mind betting Sub still found something to moan about......! I've also got something to moan about........they didn't show the alleged altercation between Trump and Slime, and the events leading up to it........now that would have made good television.

Edit: Am I the only one who noticed Andersen doing an impression of a B-52 bomber in heat 15 last night. His on track attacks on Hampel looked desperate & dangerous to me. Know what you mean Wacks - it didn't actually look as bad at the track though and to be fair Jarek was being fairly tough in return too - there were a coupole of occasions where we were covering our eyes, but both riders seemed happy with the race afterwards which is the best way I know of determining whether it was a fair race or not! I'm still wondering who Johnno was riding for at the start of heat 2 though - he seemed determined to delay things for long enough to let Barker get out on track.
