Disappointed this meeting was off as i was really looking forward. The company of sjl, kev,& my sweet little freind Amanda made it more bearable & we had a right good laugh together on the trip there & back. The right decision to call it off, bloody cold as well, last year at this meeting i was in me T-Shirt. Nothing on the BSPA site about a re-stage yet. Why oh Why is the Norfolk Arena site down.

www.norfolkarena.co.uk/
Not down here, not that it ever has any up to date news on it though. Probably be better to look on the Super 7 website for news of a restaging.

Super 7's has all gone tits up anyway, watch the shit hit the fan very soon I think. There is growing speculation that Jonathan Chapman has quit his post of Super Sevens Organiser............is this what you were refering to?

All we need to do now Booeyboy is get Amanda posting on the forums to share her tales and knowledge of our wonderful sport. ;D

Our little tales & dirty jokes on phones made it alot of fun though, has Kev got any Lemon Drizzle cake left(yummy). Amanda will have her own computer back shortly, & won't have to rely on the short time she get's at work anymore, so here's hoping a new username will encourage her after several false starts.

I don't usually moan about things like this, but the Super 7even website is awful. It's only recently (in the last couple of days) been updated from 2007's details, and even today (what would have been after the event) the line-up is still wrong. For something that's meant to be professional, I don't find it as such at all. Looking for a restaging date, indeed if there even is to be one, so if anyone hears anything can they post it please? Edit: looks like I'm not the only one complaining. Chapman has a go at Bjarne.

Personally i agree with what Bjarne is saying. Where was Pikey Chapman quoted from? inside his caravan in the A47 layby! Conditions were appalling. and the riders and ref IMO made the correct call , as frustrating as it was!

Chapman has a go at Bjarne.Without wishing to say 'I told you so', the Super7s with JC at the helm was always likely to end in tears Chapman jnr does have some good ideas about bringing the sport into the 21st century (dont agree with all of them myself but does seem to have the fans interests at heart), however he lacks the skills required to implement his plans and really, really needs to be part of a team (this could equally be applied to his dealings at Lynn). As this case proves the one thing that he must learn is that he needs a good 'front man' and must never, ever go near a microphone or press release himself as all that happens is bad publicity and more ammunition for his critics

Personally i agree with what Bjarne is saying. So do I. Chapman is a flapperjack Far from me to defend JC, but how the hell can you agree with Bjarne??? You weren't even there to witness what happened, eg whether it was dangerous or not!!!
Besides, Bjarne's talking bollocks about the track being already heavily watered, yes it had been watered throughout the day, but the track when I arrived (5 o'clock) was absolutely perfect for racing.
A few night's previous, at the U21 qualifier (Weds) and indeed the day before at Boston's P&P the track was a dustbowl (I attended both), and a blue line was showing quite clearly on the first turn at the end of the U21 meeting. No rain fell from that time onwards until the Sat evening of the Pairs, so obviously they watered the track throughout the day in preparation for the meeting seeings though a good deal of extra shale had been laid. Buster did maybe make a mistake of watering the track NOT HEAVILY around 6pm, 20 minutes before the shower that did the damage. The forecast was for localised sleet showers, a few miles up the road it was dry. Guess that's just bad luck.
It was the correct decision to call the meeting off, whether Bjarne was being a prima donna or not. It just wasn't going to happen Saturday night thanks to the weather.
Just take a look at Steve's few photo's he took from 5pm onwards, you will see the condition the track at that time and then at the call off.

I tend to bow to a rider's take on a track rather than that of a promoter. After all the rider is the expert. That's why I agreed with what Bjarne had to say. It was the correct decision to call the meeting off,..... So you agree with Bjarne then that the meeting shouldn't go ahead

I agree with the decision purely based on the fact that more rain fell shortly afterwards and that was that. The meeting was never going to run that night based on the weather in the area. Not too hard to understand really is it?

I was there too and I think riders have certainly ridden in much worse conditions. I think they could have given it a bit longer as it did dry up soon after. I guess I was just pissed off that we had been there since 5pm and were all absolutely frozen..... would have been good to have at least seen some racing after suffering for 3 hours.....Plus Kings Lynn is a flea-pit and the the facilities leave a lot to be desired. We went this time last year to the EL pairs, and you'd think in 12 months they might have managed to at least get some bars of soap for the skanky toilets......
