Just Turkey, you ask? Well, apart from the fact I've run clean out of synonyms for "thoughts" I've lost all interest in the on track non-event that is the F1 circus, so I'm guessing you lot have too.
It's not helped by the three week break and the stupid penalties imposed on various teams and drivers which have no relevance to the crime. Maybe the FIA and the BSPA have got together and decided to see how much they can balls up the sports before there's an outcry. I don't know.
But if anyone is still remotely interested these are my predictions for Turkey: Raikkonen, Hamilton, Massa, with Alonso spitting the dummy at some point over the weekend.

Rumination is a good one. As for the race, I suspect that we'll see an Alonso win with Raikkonen spoiling a McLaren one-two.

Putting together the previous two posts: Turkey - Ruminations and Ramifications Schumi, I detect a little mid-season missing Michael blues. Hopefully, a good race instead of tantrums in the McLaren pit area will be the highlight of the weekend. Difficult to predict this one - will Alonso come out all guns ablazing, or has Lewis regained the psychological edge. Meanwhile, Ferrari need a 1-2 if they are serious about catching McLaren before the end of the season. All the best God

Schumi, I detect a little mid-season missing Michael blues. But as some of you are clearly still interested I've put some effort into the title. Last year's race was won by Felipe Massa - his maiden victory, and the McLarens both finished well down the order, so it's not a race that suits the McLaren. If Ferrari can't make the most of it here they may as well give up now.

I remember... it's the one where Schumacher threw the kitchen sink at Alonso, but couldn't get by.
Hmmm... Alonso drove well here last year, but the Ferraris were strong at this track.
In that case: 1. Raikkonen 2. Massa 3. Alonso 4. Hamilton
.... which wouldn't be too disastrous for Lewis.
All the best Rob

Might be quite interesting.
Alonso has effectively been branded a troublemaker and shown the door by Big Ron, so he either has something to prove and will knuckle down to the business of getting his third championship on the spin, or, more likely, will let his latin temperament get in the way and throw his toys out of the pram at every opportunity.
Hamilton will do his usual thing and just get on with it, I think he now knows the team's loyalty lies with him, so he will be even more brimming with confidence than he normally is.
As for the Ferraris, who knows; I still don't rate either driver, but I especially don't fancy Massa to stand up to the pressure.
I'm not normally given to long term predictions, but unless something drastic happens, Hamilton has got this season wrapped up; it will be damn close if doesn't take the title this year.

Turkey is definitely a Ferrari type of track.....
1. Raikkonen 2. Alonso 3. Heidfeld 4. Massa
Hamilton? About time a Mercedes went pop.... compare this season to McLaren's 2006 in terms of reliability.... Just think this is the race for Hamilton to have a problem..... hope not though.

Okay, qualifying today and early signs for McLaren are good with Hamilton setting the fastest time in practise 2 to counter the previous best time by Ferrari. In light of this I'm going to stick with my original prediction.
DC had a fuel leak during this session, which caught fire. His team worked hard to get the car fixed in time for him to avoid having to use the spare.
Qualifying starts at midday on ITV1.

Special mention for Davidson for putting his car 11th on the grid.

Not an awful lot of difference between the Ferrari and McLaren today, if the same is the case in the race tomorrow, it could be interesting. Bit of a dull qualifying, after Alonso's antics last time around. P.S. Schumi, how come I'm no longer "eccentric".

Sube's changed the rankings. No doubt when you get to 750 he'll do it again. ;D Meanwhile the latest news from planetf1 is "Fernando Feels Unappreciated At McLaren." Aaah.

Certainly looks tight for later, I'll be interested to see how Massa copes with Hamilton snapping at his heels.

That's the one thing that sets Massa back on the other three. If Lewis, Fernando or Kimi are out front, barring mechanical failures or first bend accidents, you'd expect to see them drive until the chequered flag. With Massa you get the impression he's looking in his mirrors more than where he's going, and that eventually he'll be pressured into making a mistake.
Interesting interviews about BMW signing their drivers. Apparently they held off with the announcement until they knew Alonso was staying at McLaren, allegedly. Peace talks announcements go some way to back up that comment, but I don't think Lewis and Fernando are ever going to be best of mates.

Good news that Alonso is apparently staying at McLaren, simply because when Senna and Prost were at McLaren, it was the second season that the sparks really flew!
