Another boring race only broken by a minor spin for Trulli on the first bend and a tyre delamination for Hamilton which spoiled his chances of the podium, and possibly second place. Interesting that McLaren had two pit boxes to avoid a repeat of previous incidents. Madness. Congratulations to Felipe Massa on his secind consecutive Turkish victory, and his fifth overall.
Results as follows, and I'll update the standings shortly:
1..Massa (Ferrari) 2..Raikkonnen (Ferrari) 3..Alonso (McLaren) 4..Heidfeld (BMW) 5..Hamilton (McLaren) 6..Kovalainen (Renault) 7..Rosberg (Williams) 8..Kubica (BMW)

Not the greatest race unfortunately.
How determined is Hamilton - the way he drove that car back to the pits on, effectively, three wheels was impressive. This bloke would make a Robin Reliant look competitive.
Well done to Massa, although I can't help thinking of previous seasons, Ferrari would have found a way to swap positions.
Maybe that's why Raikkonen looked even more miserable than usual on the podium - you've gotta love that guy (even though I know Schumi doesn't).

Have to agree not the most exciting race ever, there weren't even any real scraps for the minor places.
Gutted for Hamilton as he looked set for a podium place. Feel even more sorry for Mark Webber, how many more times are his hydraulics going to fail??
Did you notice how Millard was commentating at the start as Hamilton made a great start - even though he dropped a place!!
Also, I missed the build up so could someone tell me why Button had to start at the back??

Also, I missed the build up so could someone tell me why Button had to start at the back?? Both Hondas had to have engine changes so both started from the back.

Thanx Schumi
Is Allen just as bad as Millard then? I normally watch Grand Prixs down the pub so don't normally hear the commentators ;D

I normally watch Grand Prixs down the pub so don't normally hear the commentators ;D To be honest I don't really mind him, though he does make a lot of mistakes and his pro-Schumacher bias used to annoy even me. But I much prefer Martin because he's funny as well as informative. Plus he corrects all James' errors. ;D

He wasn't as smooth as Brundle, but spoke with greater authority. The difference between a former World Champion and a driver who was largely a mid-pack driver in F1 and never won a race.

He could have given Graham Norton a run for his money in the "errr" stakes. Cue Donsking telling me how hard it is to do it live. If Martin's not available give Louise a shot, or bring back Murray for a guest appearance. It might even add a few to the ratings.

You'll get no arguement from me, in fact if you read my other posts on the subject I said the very same thing; it's difficult, and Hill doesn't have what it takes, Martin Brundle has it in spades.

Don't forget Brundle is also a former WC, In sportscar racing, not F1. And you think winning a sportscar WC is less difficult and makes Brundle less qualified to talk about F1?

Hill has been at the sharp end, including all the political sheningans, Brundle hasn't. He did stumble a little at times during the race, but when he came out with something, it was with greater authority than the slightly wishy-washy Brundle. Of course, the golden age of F1 commentary was the bumbling but brilliant Murray and the acerbic wit of James Hunt.
