So, the permutations (from PlanetF1):
* If Hamilton wins or finishes second he is the World Champion
* If Hamilton finishes ahead of Alonso and Raikkonen, no matter the position, he wins the title
* If Raikkonen doesn't finish in the top two he can't win the title
* If Alonso wins, Hamilton has to finish second to win the title
* But if Alonso wins the race and Hamilton is third, the Spaniard retains the crown as even though they would both have 113 points, Alonso would have more wins the Hamilton
* If Hamilton finishes fourth or fifth, Alonso must win the race to win the title
* But if Hamilton finishes fifth and Alonso finishes second, Hamilton would win the title as even though they would be tied on points they would also be equal on P1s, P2s, P3s, P4s and therefore the title would go down to the most number of fifth placed finishes. And Hamilton's P5 in Brazil would be the one that won him the title
* If Hamilton finishes in the top five, Raikkonen cannot win the title
* If Hamilton finishes sixth, Alonso needs a P2 or better to win
* If Hamilton finishes seventh and Alonso finishes third, Hamilton would win based on a superior number of second placed finishes
* If Hamilton finishes eighth, Alonso needs to finish third to win
* If Hamilton doesn't score any points, Alonso needs a fourth or better to win
* But if Hamilton doesn't score and Alonso finishes fifth, the title goes to Hamilton as he has more second-placed finishes than Alonso
Will do a write-up a bit closer to the time, but who's your money on?

Schumi - blimey, that's a complicated way of wording it. Here's a summary in less than 20 words: Alonso wins - Hamilton has to finish second. Alonso doesn't win - Hamilton has to finish fifth. Kimi needs a miracle. Simple eh?

What about all three not finishing, or Massa taking out Hamilton and Alonso, or spam spam spam chips and spam

I really really hope that Lewis does it, and I think he's got what it takes to do it, but I can't help thinking that he'll be a bit rattled after last weekend's events. Alonso must be fancying his chances, and, psychologically, I think he's got the upper hand. I'll be devastated if the Spanish git does it though.

What about all three not finishing, or Massa taking out Hamilton and Alonso, or spam spam spam chips and spam I can't see Massa taking anyone out of the Brazillian GP... this will be a race he will want to win. Lewis will do it. Alonso appears to be the one who is rattled, not Lewis.

Well, only a few days to go and for the first time this season I'm excited. Three challengers in the final GP and rain forecast all weekend. Come on Kimi. ;D Oh dear, how times change.

I really can't wait for this weekend!! England in the rugby world cup final on Saturday. Then more importantly the final Grand Prix of the season on Sunday, where hopefully Lewis will win the title ;D If it does rain, like the forecasts say, then it will only add to the excitement, I just hope Mclaren don't muck it up this time - well not for Lewis anyway I do believe that Lewis can win the title, but I have this feeling that the Spanish Flapperjack is going to do something- and not a good something. SO come on England and Hamilton and make it a perfect weekend ;D ;D ;D

Like mimi, I have a slightly bad feeling about this.
Boy Wonder needs all his wits about him for this one and the best thing he can do is get pole, then run away and hide come race day.
My fear is that he'll get caught up in something beyond his control and fall at the final hurdle.

Lewis Hamilton could find himself in trouble after allegedly using two sets of wet weather tyres during Friday's first practice in Brazil. Under the F1 regulations 'no driver may use more than one set of wet and one set of extreme weather tyres during P1 and P2.' However, according a FIA report Hamilton, together with Jenson Button and Takuma Sato, broke the rule during Friday's first free practice at Interlagos on Friday morning. "Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Takuma Sato have used two sets of wet-weather tyres during the first free practice session which is breach of article 25.3 of the 2007 Formula One Sporting Regulations," the technical delegate said in a report. According to Autosport, the breach of the rules was brought to the attention of the race stewards by FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer. As to what action, if any, will be taken against the three drivers remains to be seen as there is no set penalty for the breach. But should Hamilton be penalised it could cost him his shot at the World title as the McLaren rookie is currently a three-way fight involving himself, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen. Hamilton leads by battle by four points over Alonso and a further three ahead of Raikkonen. From www.planetf1.com

Lewis Hamilton has avoided punishment for using two sets of wet-weather tyres after finishing fastest in Friday's practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix. Drivers are only allowed to use one set of tyres during a session and McLaren have been fined 15,000 euros (£10,445).
The same penalty applied to Honda and Super Aguri for identical infringements by Jenson Button and Takuma Sato.

The first, I suspect, of a number of narrow squeaks that Lewis will need to sidestep this weekend.

What will they throw at the poor sod next. Someone in McLaren wants shooting (well more than one person probably). I hope Lewis is holding it together, but, like Donsking, I fear there's more to come and it may just be the undoing of him tomorrow.

Maybe McLaren have done it on purpose, so that it will be less suspect when they use too many tyres on Alonso's car in the race and get him disquailified! ;D ;D
