Sarah was laid to rest today.
Sean had posted this on the BSF on Saturday, so I hope they won't mind me posting it on here:
on behalf of myself, Brandon, Kirstie-Jayne and Sean Jnr, and all the Wilkinson and Savill families, i want to thank everyone
who has sent messages of condolence and support. without these i don't know how or if i would have made it through the last few weeks.
as everyone has said, she was a special woman, and a brave and couragous one too. always helpful to everyone, and polite and respectable with it.
i have read with interest on here, and other sites, all the memories and praise everyone has for her, and these have been printed out and added to her coffin yesterday
I have spent the past week and a half arranging and sorting, and the funeral is arranged for Waltham Abbey Church, 1pm on Monday.
finally, just a short message about the marathon and the St Clares Hospice that i am raising for...
St Clares Hospice has to raise in excess of £1.8m every year to continue to offer a high level of care free of charge to families like ours that are affected by life threatening illnesses.
and it dosen't just stop there... they have been on the phone offering the children and myself councilling and support with all the arrangments too.
they currently recieve just 25% funding from the NHS and the remainder is donated by the people of east herts and west essex through fundraising.
aside from the website, i have sponsor forms that i am starting to use from saturday 16th feb, and with each £10 donation, the donor will recieve a raffle ticket, where they can enter a benefit night arranged for April 11th at Harlow Rugby Club.
so far, donated prizes include a weekend at Claridges with a meal at Gordon Ramseys resturant, a family day out at Paradise park, Broxbourne and the added bonus of the Speedway Museum, A VIP evening at Rye House Speedway, a mountain bike, and a TV DVD combo. all kindly donated by family and friends of the family.
it may be that if i can get another main prize, i will consider the Rye House VIP evening for the website donations... and put all the names into a draw for that..
