Take it from me Badge, they are lovely people........really lovely. It might help if you posted a link to both the appeal and the post in question.

Don't know the guy , but everyone who does speaks highly of him . It must be a devastating turn of events for his family . We don't know how lucky we are at times . Being a confirmed athiest there's no point me offering a prayer , but my thoughts are with them at this horrible period for them .

I have been lucky enough to know Sean and Sarah. They looked after Pammie and me whilst we were on a trip down south and they were also part of the Monarchs support when we won at Arena in August 2003. To say I am devasted for them is an understatement

I hope he doesn't mind me posting this here, but this is an update from Sean:
just found that i have internet wi fi access here at the hospice..
so here goes..
thanks to each and everyone of you for the kind messages, and support through our friends of the speedway fraternity. its times like this that i remember to myself why we have stayed involved in speedway throughout our lives.. coz the people are just so friendly.. even if we have met or not !
things have changed a bit since i asked Krissie and nick to help me with this thread last week,
Sarah took a turn for the worse early hours of saturday morning, suffering from a urine infection. her overnight change was so dramatic and quick, i wasn't sure i had walked into the right room saturday morning. and since then i have pretty much based myself here. the kids are with my family nearby, and being looked after.. while i keep a bedside vigil along with sarah's two brothers and her sister. Sarah has basically started to close down her body. but she has the heart and mind of a 29 year old that is fighting it. she told me friday she would not fight against it when the time comes, and wants to go with dignity and peacefully. which as i write she is doing. I have been told to keep the family close, and the hospice nurses are talking in hours rather than days now. as those that know Sarah, she is a fighter.. and a battler.. and she is putting a new meaning to "holding out" here. The nurses are fabulous. They are suffering with us, because they are dealing with someone there own age.. that dosen't happen often here at St. Clares. But they are keeping me strong.. and so are the family around me.
Once again.. thanks so much from the bottom of our hearts, for all your support and words of encouragement.
Sean

Has certianly made me realise I should be thankful for my lot.
Have never met Sarah or Sean but remember him as being one of the "originals" as such from the old BSF days. Such a heartbreaking story, it's bad enough that someone so young and with so much ahead of them can be cut down in their prime, but even more so when you consider the young family that she will leave behind.
My thoughts are with Sarah, Sean and their young children.

You can't fail to be moved by this ....a lot of us have been affected by cancer, a very cruel disease and it's incredibly painful seeing a loved one taken by it....It looks like Sean is gaining a lot of strength from the support....God bless them all xx
