I agree with Paul - don't see any problem in him choosing to ride in an important fixture for his team. The PLRC is his title to defend or not defend as he chooses. I'll certainly be paying more attention to Poland than Swindon.

Well, since it's unlikely the Weirdity will be around the PL next season, I don't see how he'll be able to defend the title in 2008.

I couldn't give two hoots what the fuck is happening in Poland - I'm a fan of British Speedway and will be at Blunsdon on Sunday evening. If riders can committed to ride in the Premier League, then they should ride in the Premier League. The only exception should be World Championships. That's the way it used to be in the second division and that's what they should go back to now. And the likes of Zetterstrom can piss off.

On that point we are in agreement . Didn't it used to be like that in the dim and distant past . It did, until Ronnie Russell steamed into Rye House and wanted to track Oxford legend Jens Rasmussen in the National League.

Nowt to do with Rambo, who with a English wife and English daughter should have been allowed in. What opened the floodgates was Peter Schroeck.

Putting my patriotic hat on (a very rare occasion), I'd say as he's defending champion the PLRC is more important. Don't Poland have a squad system, so surely he is replaceable? They do and presumably they have requested Zorro's presence and probably couldn't give a flying fuck about the PLRC . Which , let's face it , is of limited interest to everyone apart from the supporters of 15 teams in the 2nd tier of British speedway . Ah, but using your own arguement here, the Polish play-off is of limited interest to everyone apart from the supporters of two Polish teams. I say ban Zetterstrom and while they're at it ban Damian Dryml too.

I reckon Zetterstrom is just ducking out of getting beaten out of sight by the Weirdity in the PLRC.

Yes, but I suspect the PZM wouldn't get involved if Zetterstrom chose not to ride for Gorzow - it would be a matter between the two parties. If Somerset are unhappy with Zetterstrom, they know what to do - drop him from the team. But oh no, they want a facility to cover him, so they get the BSPA involved.

You can't really blame them for wanting a facility for a rider who averages over ten points a meeting for them, and who they have invested heavily in.
Why should they 'cover up' for him by 'dropping' him from the team when he's 'dropped' them (in the shit)?
Hopefully this is the start of a much harder (and consistent) approach from the BSPA over riders who fail to fulfill their contracts - the PLRC is, as such, a team committment and shouldn't be viewed as an individual meeting in this context.

Anyway that's Zorro out the way . On what technicality can we now get Holder , Compton , Lyons , Nomark , Topinka , Woffinden , and Wright all banned so that Trent Leverington might score a few points .

I reckon Zetterstrom is just ducking out of getting beaten out of sight by the Weirdity in the PLRC. The only way that Rempala would win it is if they shortened every race, to just the first corner, he may at least stay interested for that long. CL replacement or Guest for Zorro then?
