Following a suggestion by Hatcham, I think it's time to dispense with the bi-weekly FOTW - which has become a touch tired.
However, there are still times when we all need to blow off a bit of steam, therefore feel free to nominate any flapperjacks on this thread.
Difference is there is no deadline, no winner, the thread just rolls on.
We might still have a Flapperjack of 2010 award at the end of the season.

Just because Hatcham doesn't like it we dump it............that's wrong !!!! The Flapperjack nomination is one of the reasons this forum is here.......it's part of the history. FFS, if we dumped everything Hatcham didn't like we'd have no speedway in this country !!! I vote to leave it as it was......nominate and award a flapperjack every week/fortnight, and bollox to what Hatcham says !!! Grow some balls Genghis and don't let this forum turn into 'just another' speedway forum !!! What are other peoples views on this?

Kev, it's been a struggle finding anyone to pick the awards the last few weeks. But if people want it to stay in its fortnightly format, then it will. And you should know by now that I'm perfectly willing to stand up to Hatcham when necessary. And Hatcham's suggestion was to scrap it completely. I don't think that's appropriate and just think the open-ended thread may be the way to go - but if other people think otherwise and want it to stay as it is, then say so.

A nomination for the Ipswich management for blocking Barry Briggs from having his "Ride" there. What a disgusting way to treat Briggo, let alone Lol Hare & John Simmons, two local boys who would benefit. Shame on you, Chris Louis.

It was merely a suggestion Kev, but you keep burying your head in the sand ! you seem to be a master at that! Oh and remember the reason so many valued contributors are staying away is nothing to do with me!

How about a compromise Flapperjack of the month. Any really worthy nominations will still win but the extra time will enable more time to nominate and also make it easier to find a judge. Not looked yet but I hope the Mutts Nuts is not being abolished, cos IMO far too few people get credit for being nice or good these days, folk are far to quick to complain.

That's how it's set it up for now, and we'll see what everyones feedback is. It certainly seems that people don't want to totally scrapped, which is nice to see, as the two awards are an integral part of this site. Munners has already come forward with an interesting alternative, which is a monthly award.

Interesting - Munners has suggested something very similar regarding a monthly award on the vote thread. As for the Mutt's Nuts, nope it won't be abolished completely - it'll continue in whatever form we agree on for both awards.

That's hilarious Kev, you're like a little lap dog! still if you want to mug yourself off that's your business. Remember getting rid of the Flapperjack/Mutts awards was merely a suggestion from me, you then chose to hurl insults about and elevate the thread to a personal level. If that's what you want 'bring it on', i've got nothing to hide...........
