Get Zombik on an ACU license and he'll be in the UK team for SWC next Summer.

Get Zombik on an ACU license and he'll be in the UK team for SWC next Summer. Don't think he'll be granted one. Having now trawled through thousands of comments on various guest books, it seems the PZM has no authority over the foreign riders, although, presumably they can stop them from riding in Poland? The Poles, however, have to serve their ban, which covers all leagues. Have Peterborough signed Zabik? Have to say, he's getting the slating of his life for "instigating" this - he's really unpopular at the moment, and some are suggesting his ban should be permanent.

The Poles, however, have to serve their ban, which covers all leagues.I fail to see how the Board of Motor Club Ostrow can impose this kind of ban on foreign riders......they may have enough influence to make the ban stick in Poland, but how can they stop Chris Harris (for example) who rides on an ACU license, riding in the British Elite League.......it's unworkable.

You forgot this bit of your quote: I have to admit though, the article does say just that!

The lastest from speedwaygp.com, although I don't think there's anything new there that we haven't covered already:
Grand Prix rider Chris Harris could be barred from riding in the Polish League next season.
The British Champion is one of seven Ostrow riders who have been controversially suspended by the club following the postponement of the fixture against Gniezno in July that led to a near-riot.
All 16 riders from the two teams refused to take part in the meeting, citing the track was dangerous even though referee Marek Wojaczek called it “not perfect but raceable.”
The Ostrow club have since decided to both ban and fine their riders - Harris, Daniel Nermark, Daniel King, Patryk Pawlaszczyk, Nicolai Klindt, Adrian Gomolski and Karol Zabik.
Nermark, King, Pawlaszczyk Nicolai Klindt have been handed one-year suspensions, while Gomolski, Harris and Zabik received two-year bans.
Whether or not the bans will stick remains to be seen.

Weren't Ostrow having financial problems too and the walkout, on the Ostrow riders part, wasn't just down to the track?

Some of them hadn't been paid at the time, but they were still due to ride.

Oh yes he has! No penalty for Bobby. Why? Apparently Miskowiak was spared because the club was of the opinion that he would've ridden but was intimidated by the other riders, something Miskowiak denies.

The Poles may be throwing their weight around, but they haven't told the riders. Nicolai Klindt had no idea he'd been suspended for a year, and says the Polish teams he's been negotiating with haven't mentioned a problem. Nicolai was told he'd been fined, and informed the club they could take the fine from what they owed him, but says Ostrow is bankrupt so he assumed the case was over.

And another rider who's been kept in the dark is Daniel Nermark, who is going to Poland today to find out more about this suspension. However, his trip is also for another reason - he's expected to sign a contract with Rybnik on Wednesday - so make of that what you will.

Ostrow have withdrawn their theat of fining and suspending their riders.
Edited to say: I have assumed this applies to all riders. Daniel Nermark's lawyers wrote to the club and he, at least, is in the clear. The article in the Swedish paper I got this from (vf.se) seems to read that the club has withdrawn the threat from all riders.

It's a nonsense when you think of it.
Clubs cannot ban riders from riding elsewhere only governing bodies can do that as it's them that issue the riders licenses.
