WITCHES SWOOP FOR DRYML
TUESDAY JUNE 01, 2010
IPSWICH have signed Ales Dryml as a replacement for struggling Danish rider Claus Vissing.
Dryml has been released by Peterborough following their recent changes and was quick to contact the Witches.
Ipswich Speedway Director Chris Louis said: ”We were hoping for a good points return from Claus at Peterborough, a track he knows well, but we were very disappointed with his performance.
“We have decided to give Ales a chance to show us what he can do.
“He has been very interested in joining Ipswich for a number of years and his enthusiasm and keenness persuaded us to give him a run in the team in order to try and find some consistency in the number four slot which has been missing in recent weeks.”

Taken from the BSPA site: WITCHES MAKE CHANGES
Saturday July 17, 2010 IPSWICH have made a double change in a bid to move away from the foot of the Elite League.
The Witches have released both Oliver Allen and Carl Wilkinson and signed Chris Slabon and Kozza Smith. Smith will double up with King’s Lynn and Slabon hasn’t raced in Britain in recent years.
Witches Director Chris Louis said: “I’m sorry that it hasn’t worked out for Olly and Carl but we couldn’t just let the situation slide given our league position. We wish them both well and hope that they are soon fixed up elsewhere.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting, the Kozza one should have happened weeks ago TBH, Wilko is a smashing lad, but EL he is not!!!. also Olly, with his recent string of injuries has been disappointing, bearing in mind he admits that he liked the "old" track rather than the new one, but with Slabon!!!!!

I'm guessing Slabon has been signed because A) Is a Witches assett and therefore is a cheap option and B) He won the Welsh Open at Newport last week.

Chris Slabon was only riding in the Welsh open because he was in the country meeting with Chris Louis to sign for Ipswich. If this signing wasn't happening, Chris Slabon would not have been riding in the recent Welsh open.
