Despite reports that Massa was hoping to be fit for the last race of the season at Abu Dhabi, Ferrari have confirmed he won't be driving for them for the remainder of the year. He will, however, be waving the chequered flag at his home GP this weekend in Brazil.
Timo Glock has been ruled out of racing after further medical investigation prior to his crash in qualifying at Suzuka showed he's cracked a vertebra. Kind of reminds me of the Jasper Carrott insurance claim form sketch: "I thought I wasn't injured, but on removing my helmet I found I had a fractured skull."
Anyway, any one of the top three drivers could still take the world title - Button has 85 points to Barrichello's 71, and Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel is only a further two points behind him. Admittedly it would take a couple of disasterous GPs for the Brawns to allow Vettel in with a realistic chance, but it keeps things interesting up until the final race.
Saturday's qualifying session is on at 6pm, with Sunday's race starting at 5pm.

Meanwhile, it looks like it could be all-out war between Alonso and Massa at Ferrari in 2010: www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5628800,00.html Still not quite sure what Massa is banging on about. Wasn't it the electronic lollipop system that failed Massa in Singapore? Surely it would have gone wrong whenever Massa stopped - whether brought on early by Piquet's crash or not? Sounds like a bunch of sour grapes from a driver who has realised he lost his best-ever chance of being champion - I doubt if he'll be able to match Alonso in a Ferrari.

But more importantly for Button, so is Vettel! But then Button goes out in Q2, finishing 14th. Advantage Rubens

Oh dear, looks like the Mighty McLaren's are trying to usurp the kings of comedy. But that wasn't funny.

McLaren owe Brawn a big favour for getting that nozzle off the human flame-thrower.

McLaren owe Brawn a big favour for getting that nozzle off the human flame-thrower. They're using Mercedes engines, aren't they? I'd have said that's favour returned.

Congratulations Jenson Button - world champion. WOOHOOO!!!! And Button won it with a bit of style today, great fighting performance in the opening stint of the GP. Nice to see Barichello so sportsmanlike in defeat.

Congratulations Jenson Button - world champion. Echo that. Great race - would have liked to see Rubens win his home GP, but over the moon that Jenson took the title today. Gotta feel for Mark Webber tho - wins the GP and everyone is concentrating on Jenson!
