BBC Radio Suffolk last night suggested that Tobi Kroner could be Swindon bound for 2010. Bless him, I know he is in talks, but he didn't say who with....thrown to the Wolves....oh no the Robins, poor lad. Actually if you can get him at reserve you will have a really strong rider, he just lacks a bit of confidence at times. If he does sign it will be interesting to see if Rosco can work his "magic" on Tobi

POPULAR DANE Mads Korneliussen is the latest confirmed starter for Swindon’s 2010 campaign.
The Robins’ asset, who spent the 2009 season on loan at Peterborough, slots into the side with a starting average of 6.30.
The twenty six year old joins Leigh Adams and Grzegorz Zengota in the main body of Swindon’s 2010 team in what will be Korneliussen’s fifth season in Robins’ colours.
The Alborg born racer, a former Danish U21 Champion, is an established fans’ favourite at Blunsdon and is renowned for his never-say-die riding style.
The Dane first linked up with Swindon during 2005 in a doubling up capacity with Premier league Newport. Three successive full time Elite league berths at Blunsdon followed as Korneliussen helped the Robins reach the Elite league playoffs in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
A steady season with Peterborough ensued in 2009 where Mads competed in thirty-one Elite League matches, scoring 215 points in the process.
Swindon co-owner Gary Patchett said:
“Of course, Mads is very popular amongst Swindon supporters after his previous stint at Blunsdon.
By his own admission, he regrets not having accepted our offer to ride for the club in 2009 and is excited about coming back to Blunsdon in 2010.
Although Mads is only in his mid twenties, he is an experienced Elite league rider and can therefore offer the younger members of the squad some valuable advice as the campaign unfolds. Obviously, Mads has worked closely with Robins’ skipper Leigh Adams before and the two riders share a good relationship.
Mads has consistently upped his average whilst riding for Swindon and we’re confident he can improve on his starting figure of 6.30 next season” www.swindon-speedway.co.uk

SIMON STEAD and Morten Risager will join Leigh Adams, Mads Korneliussen and Grzegorz Zengota in Swindon’s top five for the 2010 speedway season.
Stead and Risager, both club assets, represented Swindon in 2009 and enjoyed solid spells with the club.
Danish youngster Morten Risager was drafted into Swindon’s 2009 line up as a late season replacement for Jurica Pavlic. The likeable Dane, an experienced top flight rider, spent the early part of the ’09 campaign with Ipswich following an injury to club skipper Leigh Lanham.
A stint with Manchester’s Belle Vue Aces ensued before Risager joined Swindon to assist with the club’s play off-charge.
Risager alternated between the Robins’ reserve berth and main body during his spell with the club, successfully notching an array of eye-catching hauls. Indeed the twenty two year old showed great tenacity and speed during his time at Blunsdon.
Simon Stead meanwhile spent a full campaign at Blunsdon in 2009 and enjoyed an impressive season in Robins’ colours. Having spent the 2008 term on loan at Coventry, Stead became a full Swindon asset when he figure in a swap deal that saw Charlie Gjedde cement his move to Belle Vue.
The Sheffield born rider – who has accumulated a host of club honours during his British career – settled well at Blunsdon in 2009 and concluded the season with an Elite league average of 6.97. Indeed, the twenty seven year old was ever present in the Robins’ domestic campaign.
Swindon co-owner Gary Patchett said:
“Morten and Simon performed well for Swindon during the 2009 season and we’re pleased to welcome them both back in 2010. They were very keen to return to Blunsdon next season and are both targeting increases on their starting averages.
Morten and Simon are now fully familiar with the Swindon setup, have built up a rapport with the Swindon supporters and have good Blunsdon track knowledge. We are therefore confident that both riders will start the season strongly”www.swindon-speedway.co.uk

Stead as second heat leader? Oh dear!!! I agree, this does look a weak team particularly if Zengota struggles to find his feet in the UK.

JORDAN FRAMPTON has been named as a confirmed starter in Swindon's 2010 campaign. The British youngster slots into the Robins' reserve berth in a 'doubling up' capacity alongside Australian Cory Gathercole.
Frampton will combine his Elite league commitments with a full time berth with Rye House in British speedway's second tier.
The twenty-four year old made his British speedway debut in 2004 when representing Swindon's junior side, the Sprockets and since then Frampton has made solid progress.
In recent seasons the Dorset born racer has established himself as a consistent perfomer in Premier league circles and impressed when 'doubling up' with Elite league Coventry in 2009.
Swindon co-owner Gary Patchett said:
"Jordan is a talented young rider who peformed solidly during his Elite league appearances for Coventry in 2009. Having previously ridden for Swindon, he knows the Blunsdon circuit well and we're confident he'll contribute good scores when called upon" www.swindon-speedway.co.uk

The Robins will now use Justin Sedgmen as their #8, replacing Steve Boxall.
