Actually, don't answer that - I know you. Too late, came the cry.

Okay, but as you don't pay for you burger in the price of your ticket, what more do you want for your money? I mean, you knew when you paid you'd get 15 heats with 4 riders, but you can't legislate for the quality of racing - you pay your money and you take your chances. You know what you're going to get, so what's the complaint? Genuine question - just wondered what people expect from their entrance fee. I agree with your sentiments, some posters are always banging on about 15 mins entertainment at Speedway compared with 90 mins at Football ! 90 mins at Football, what a crock, your lucky if you get 30 seconds of entertainment at the home of the beautiful ones and to be honest in Britain, unless your watching Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal or Tottenham its more than likely to be as boring as fuck, and you'll be lucky to get a ticket for under £40 in the Premier league.

I'm not familiar with his work. Then you're lucky. The Old Momgol may be quite negative, but he does enjoy some speedway - namely that load of tosh of speedway in Poland and that gater he refers to as the Weirdity.

Genuine question - just wondered what people expect from their entrance fee. Generally, from most British speedway promotions, plenty to complain about, whether that be poor quality racing, riders missing for all manner or made-up reasons, poor or diabolical refereeing from complete and utter numpties, substandard refreshments at inflated prices and the list goes on and on and on, I'm afraid. But again, it comes down to my original point - why do you still go when you know that's going to happen? Why bother?

Speedways one and only fault is the 'averages' system, all other problems are a result of this. Speedway needs to move on and let teams sign whomever they want, success will follow.

Because British speedway is, despite all its problems, bloody great. You can't beat it. ;D ;D

London Road has been superb entertainment over the last 3 years and on Tuesday Posh had turned Newcastle over and I was on my way home in the time it took them to run run 12 heats (ie 12 minutes of the GP Challenge at Brandon) last Friday. Also, when game stops at least you can still see something going on, unlike speedway which has far too much dead time or interviews etc which are badly coordinated and presented.

Two teams roaring around an enclosed track, with riders shoulder-to-shoulder. True gladitorial stuff on track, with the chance to meet up with friends on the terraces. A top way to spend a couple of hours. British Speedway rocks.

And as I said to you, honey - how many times have you told me that, and how many times have you gone back? That's because the Old Momgol has speedway in his blood. As much as he tries to deny it, he enjoys his trips to Berwick to watch his beloved Bandits.

Last three years maybe, but the bad times are back on the horizon and you'll be returning to the shit you were for the previous 100 years. Last time i went to Pboro we won 4-1 in front of an almost non-existant lethargic crowd, except for the away end..............Cheer up Mark McGee, oh what can it be to a Millwall supporter and a great football team.....................

That's because the Old Momgol has speedway in his blood. That's exactly what I told him. But I guess that's why we complain - we're passionate about speedway and want it to be the best it can?
