Geordies 2 Desperate Deek And I'm happy to report that both myself and paulco passed the "desperate one" in the bar at Armadale on Friday and survived to tell the tale - we thought we might be bound for the fence, but we weren't. Perhaps the young fellow is getting soft in his dotage?

Paulco - bit harsh on Mitchell, who would have been (along with Josh) the match-winner at Scunny had the heat-leaders pulled their weight.

That's it. I have had enough. Tigers beaten on Friday, Falkirk yesterday, Emil excluded and Tigers beaten at home today. Life is so shit.

Shane Parker has been a great servant to speedway, but he needs to hang up his boots at the end of this season, as it would be a shame if he became a mere shadow of the rider he had been before.

And it was only Newcastle. We seem to be better away. Unfortunately Shane should hang his kevlars up like Genghis said. Next year might be better.

But he's currently averaging 9.41.........hardly a shadow of his former self is he? He's scored six maxima this year and simply had a bad night tonight!

Kev, but his form since his return from injury after that horrible pile-up at Somerset in the pairs hasn't been so good. I always think it's a shame when a rider goes on too long - the classic example is Sam Ermolenko. People remember him a 43-year-old instead of the rider of 1985-1995. Shane Parker should bow out while he's still near the top of his game.
