McLaren have taken heart from their good showings over Friday's practise sessions, and Hamilton is hoping for a top three finish in tomorrow's race.
Concerns are rife with many of the drivers over Toro Rosso's replacement for the recently dropped Sebastien Bourdais: Jaime Alguersuari. Some say he's too young to be racing, and that he could be a danger on track due to his relative lack of experience. The Spaniard has replied with 82 incident free practise laps, although he did manage to stall his car in the pit-lane, having to be pushed to his garage by mechanics.
In other F1 news, Mark Webber has signed a new contract to continue with Red Bull for another year, and it's hoped that the new Concorde Agreement will be signed by the FIA and all 13 confirmed teams for 2010 over the next couple of weeks. This should put an end to the turbulent times we've experienced lately.
Qualifying and the race are both on at 1pm today and tomorrow respectively.

Yes, it's Alonso on pole. The mighty Button is only eighth - the momentum is definitely with Red Bull now. Hopefully Alonso and Hamilton can spoil the Red Bull party tomorrow to keep Button in control. And Massa is out of the race tomorrow, but that could have been much worse. A freak accident.

And Massa is out of the race tomorrow, but that could have been much worse. From PlanetF1: Ferrari said in a statement that Massa will need to undergo surgery and will have to stay under observation in intensive care for an undisclosed period of time. "After the accident during the qualifying session of the Grand Prix of Hungary, Felipe Massa was airlifted to the AEK hospital in Budapest," Ferrari said in a statement. "Felipe was conscious at the arrival at the hospital and his general conditions remain stable. "Following a complete medical examination it emerged that he had suffered a cut on his forehead, a bone damage of his skull and a brain concussion. "These conditions need to be operated on after which he will remain under observation in intensive care."

The news on Massa sounds a bit worrying: www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5453673,00.html "Stable but life-threatening condition"

Raikkonen did nothing out of order - he shouldn't be penalised for that. Great drive by Hamilton - the first sniff he's had of getting anyway near winning a race this year and he takes it. Probably his best-ever result. It's all closing up. The Brawn cars now only seem to be the sixth or seventh fastest. The mighty Button is going to need to take points wherever he can and hope that McLaren, Ferrari and maybe Williams peg back those Red Bulls.

Well done Eddie Jordan for predicting a Hamilton win by some distance as the cars sat preparing on the grid. I quickly went online during the parade lap and got 11/2 for a Hamilton win, very nice

Hmmm, the guy who said it was definitely mechanical failure that caused Massa's crash, and who reported he'd had it from a very reliable source that Massa had only a knock on the chin?

Eddie Jordan is a twat. Thanks to him, I thought Massa was OK, when actually that was far from the case. All Jordan is drone on endlessly about his former drivers - and how he shaped their careers. I used to quite like him, but after his presence on the BBC team, I know just think he's an ego-maniac. Thank goodness for the presence of the grounded and sensible David Coulthard.

He might go a bit faster if he didn't spend so much time moaning about his car on the radio. It's part of the job of the driver to report back to the team any problems he is experiencing. The mighty Button did sound frustrated today, but at least he didn't insult the whole team like Rubens in Germany.
