I thought you were going to say he'd tracked down Zagar on behalf of the Reading promotion Kev. ;D I suspect that if the Reading promotion have spies in Poland they'll be able to locate Zagar in the Torun area tomorrow.

I must say I did chuckle when I read the Torun meeting scheduled for today was declared a walkover. Zagar gave up two pay days in the UK and 1 in Sweden this week then misses out on one in Poland which he was banking on. ;D

And the reason it was declared a "walkover" was because Wroclaw couldn't field a competitive team due to Messrs Andersen, Bjerre and Holder racing in the UK today. Sort of poetic justice, really.

Good idea from Lakeside.
When watching the Swedish play-offs last year, I was very impressed by him. He's probably the best young swede out there.

Looks like you're not going to see him after all as he's been refused permission to ride by Vetlanda in case he injures himself. www.lakesidehammers.com

Stanley seems pretty pissed too after reading the Lakeside site, and looks like he intends to cause a few ripples!!! At 'em Stan!!!!

Because, apparently, the BEL is the poor relation of speedway, and I can see why. In the last year, speedway has got me hooked and enthusiastic, then pissed me right off again with it's Mickey Mouse rules and lack of forward thinking. If the likes of Stuart can turn that around, then good luck to him, but I'm not all that hopeful. It's been going downhill for 30 years, and that's an awfully big mountain to climb.

Well give him credit where it's due - he's turned Lakeside around without a shadow of doubt, and he's not afraid to call a spade a spade - if anyone can do it, he can............. have faith, and support him in any way possible........... he could be the new messiah.

Can't fault you there, he really has worked wonders at Lakeside, and I give him and his management team full credit for that, but he/them have also pissed me off enough for me not to have spent any more money there since April, for various reasons.

Some of it's personal and not really important, so I'll leave that off a public forum.
On other matters, I'm sure you've read all this before, but this is my view:
I started the season full of hope, there were a couple of signings I wasn't too keen on, but they all looked good on the P&P day, certainly better than what I had seen during 2006, and easily good enough to make a start of the 3 year plan and not get the wooden spoon.
Then the changes started.
Ditching Hurry was a no brainer, but I thought Hefe looked like an interesting long term project, and maybe Tomicek was a cheap buy and Kling was another dark horse, what really annoyed me was getting rid of Henning Bager; OK, he wasn't scoring well away, but at least he had enough experience to know the ropes and, if you want balance, get a couple of wet behind the ears youngsters, but don't ditch someone who is already part and parcel of the team, and a fan favourite, and someone that you've gone out of your way to make an asset.
I was also pissed off about signing AJ at the expense of any or all of the riders that made way for him; in the first year of a 3 year plan, we didn't need the expense and aggravation of a GP rider, and certainly not one that, by his own admission, has been carrying an injury for some time before we signed him.
What has he contributed to the team since he was signed?
KK was going well anyway and, in terms of what a GP rider can bring to the table points wise, was doing as well as anyone could (and he's since become a GP prospect) so why did we need AJ when other decent riders had to make way for him?
To me, it was a 'jobs for the boys' thing, and an unneccessary effort to add some respectability to the team so would could put "Including GP rider Andreas Jonsson" on the press releases.

It's simple really - the likes of Vetlanda and (Leszno, Bydgoszcz were riding Leszno that week Pavlic is Leszno property) they house them, feed them and develop them. If they get injured it's a loss to them and they are losing out. A story from non-league footie, Andy Brown played for his Univ team on the advice of his manager at Hinckley Utd not too, he bust his foot and was laid off for 3 months. Brown lost his place, although regained it and was swiftly replaced this Summer. It possibly cost them an automatic promotion place.
