Didn't know which section to put him in, as we don't have a "higher beings" board, so he's having his own thread. I recently emailed Nicki about another interview, although I didn't expect to get a reply as the season had already started. But it looks like he's answered some of my questions, as well as others, on his website: www.nickipedersen.com/Default.aspx?ID=425&M=News&PID=1471&NewsID=1653

It's a case of pyschological warfare - or so Nicki would have us believe. According to reports he's accused Jason Crump of mind games, saying the Australian knows Nicki sees him as his main rival and is using that to his advantage, using various tricks to unsettle him.
Nicki also thinks Sajfutdinov should have been excluded in their semi final clash, but goes on to congratulate both the Russian and Freddie Lindgren on their success in the GP on his website.
In stranger news, it seems Nicki's been approached to take a role in the new British comedy film "Eating Dust", and will play the part of "Big Ronnie" - a shady, unscrupulous character who is the lead role's rival.
No comments, please.

Isn't that what part of being a top rider is about? I'm sure Nicki is just as guilty of mind games etc. Sorry but that's bollox! All 4 back was the fairest decision. No comment needed. ;D

Taken from speedway Grand Prix site:
BREAK FOR NICKI Reigning World Champion Nicki Pedersen has broken his right thumb.
Pedersen crashed in Heat 16 of last night's Swedish League clash between Piraterna and Lejonen that saw the defending Swedish champions hammered 62-34.
The Danish star was leading the race when he clashed with Pole Rafal Dobrucki.
An appointment at a hospital in Odense confirmed this morning that the right thumb is broken, and it means Pedersen misses Holsted's opening Danish Superleague fixture at Vojens tonight.
Pedersen, who is chasing a third consecutive World crown this year, finished fifth in last Saturday's Czech SGP in Prague, finishing with 12 points after missing out on reaching the final.

And Nicki P could be missing when the GP circus rolls into Leszno: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/29/nicki-pedersen-kontuzja-moze-mnie-wykluczyc-z-walki-o-mistrz/It seems the break is more serious than first thought and may require Pedersen to be out of action for three weeks. And if it needs an operation it could be closer to five weeks. Nicki P almost certain to miss the Polish league on Sunday and the Swedish league next Tuesday, which means even if he makes it to Leszno he's not going to have enjoyed much track time.

I think that article was written before the one on Nicki's website, which says:
The decision if Nicki needs an operation has been postponed until thursday.
The fracture is in the outer joint of the thumb, and it is very even. This could mean that Nicki do not need an operation.
"The goal is to be ready for the Grand Prix in Leszno in 10 days, but we know much more tomorrow" Nicki says.

Eh???.. what did Emil do? Hit the deck when Pedersen turned right and barged into him. And how did that effect the result of the Grand Prix. Both were in the re-run. Sounds like Nicki is being a sore loser.
