I thought we would win fairly comfortably last night but I did expect a harder meeting. Workington had nobody to support their top three although Richard Lawson did impress me. But it didn't help their cause with Adrian Rymel being so poor. After scoring 11 points last season at the Dale I thought he would much more of a force but sadly he wasn't and although Kevin Doolan was always in the mix he wasn't as convincing as I have seen him in the past. Thank goodness for Andre Compton. The Monarchs once again just blew the opposition away although there were a few good races, namely those involving Mr Tully. Excellent stuff from him and the way he passed both inside and outside was a joy to watch. Good to see Sean getting in amongst the points and hopefully that will help his confidence. Initially I thought the referee got both decisions in heat 1 and heat 3 spot on but having viewed the video of heat 1 several times it appears that Aaron held his line and it was Doolan coming off gate four who came across and ran in to Aaron. Heat 3 was just a racing incident with Rymel hitting the bend a bit too fast and collecting THJ. A very enjoyable night in hospitality, winning the grand draw and the company was excellent too. Good to see some faces from the past

It's a Friday evening and a boy is walking along a street when a car pulls up . The man says to him " I'll give you £10 and a bag of sweets if you get in the car " Boy replies " No way " Man says " £50 and a bag of sweets " Boy replies " Leave me alone " Man says " £100 and a bag of sweets " Boy yells " FUCK OFF DAD ! I'M NOT COMING TO ARMADALE WITH YOU ! "

You get more pathetic every day. ML - to be fair to Paulco, if you look at the time of the post, he was being driven to almost insane boredom by watching "Britain's (Not) Got Talent" at the time.

I get the feeling that started out as a joke about Ashfield and was edited to suit

Anyway, I do believe this week's visitors to the Scotwaste Arena in the West Lothian badlands are the Bandits from the cruel, crazy town, so that should be good fun for those in attendance. Will William Lawson return with a vengeance to his old "stomping ground" where for part of last season he was imperious? Will "mad, mental" Michal Makovsky continue his impressive start to the season? Will Guglielmo Franchetti manage to leave the stadium without breaking some bone or other? The Bandits do look a little better equipped to deal with Armadale's "technical" circuit than in previous seasons, but, realistically, they aren't going to win. If they come away with a Premier Trophy point for keeping it close, that'll be an outstanding result. Personally, I think they'll have done well if they get better than 40 points on the board - with Messrs Lawson and Franc around that should be a reasonable target.

Sub the way Edinburgh have raced at home since all hitting form it will be a great result for anyone to take one point whether it be cup or league. I hope all riders are safe but dont wish Berwick any luck on the result

Is there any news on Tully yet? Taken from Coventry's web site:- EDINBURGH star Andrew Tully sustained soft tissue damage to his shoulder in a crash at Swindon on Monday and will hope to recover in time for Friday's clash with Berwick - after scoring a maximum at Armadale last week.
Tully said: "I feel comfortable at Armadale and feel I can dominate round there, it's just away from home I'm having problems. I want to increase my average to the same degree I managed last season."

And from the BSPA:
EDINBURGH have two major injury concerns ahead of a vital programme of three Premier Trophy matches in three days this weekend.
Thomas H Jonasson has been advised to take a week off having been concussed in Sweden, whilst Andrew Tully has bruising to his shoulder and chest.
Tully said: "It's still very painful but I am resting, bathing the injuries regularly, and it is certainly my intention to ride on Friday."

In other words, an excuse for him to miss his Edinburgh commitments this week then return to action for his Swedish club next Tuesday. This bloke is a serial piss taker. He doesn't turn up for Belle Vue either.

He doesn't turn up for Belle Vue either. That's Belle Vue's own fault for signing him - I said during the close season that he was only worth signing as a dedicated rider in your 1-7, not as a "double-uper". As it goes, if he does miss Edinburgh's weekend fixtures, it will probably strengthen the team a bit at Armadale and possible Newcastle, but his absence would be felt at Derwent Park against the Barbarians.

Genghis you really do talk fucking shite. The guy is concussed after a big crash what the fuck do you want him to do?
He also hasnt missed a BV meeting the way you claim. When the contract was signed BV knew he could only make 3 meetings for definite and any others would depend on other commitments.
The guy is injured and will take as long as he needs to get fit fuck all to do with being a piss taker.
Your just bitter that your club no longer exists.

He doesn't turn up for Belle Vue either. Rather harsh to jump in with that sort of accusation. THJ has missed a lot of matches for Edinburgh but doesn't have a record of using doctor's notes to keep him out of action here while continuing to race elsewhere. He may have decided that this is a good tactic, but if he has, he's still got a long way to go catch up to others, such as Lukas Dryml, on this front . Leaving aside the general argument about THJ's appearance record, if he has suffered a concussion then I think it is perfectly reasonable to miss out a week of racing. I'm often amazed that riders get back on track so quickly after a concussion. Plenty of other sports have a mandatory rest period after a concussion and it seems incredible that a sport like speedway doesn't have one as well.
