Muggins can't be there. I'll be in Bonnie Scotland at Doune. Will probably have to miss the KOC round at Brandon on the Friday night too.
If there is a meeting at Armadale on the Friday night I will probably be there with some members of the Lothian Car Club inc a friend who works for Bell Johnstone Communications in Edinburgh.

Good to see Mr Clean doing this & tbh i would've been a little annoyed if he didn't, as he says it's the least he can do after Johnno has chased up everyone else's.The thing is though who isn't gonna wanna take part & who do you overlook, a tough one. Great to hear there's gonna be a few roo's coming over.

I wonder if we'll see PC doing one of his legendary sweep around the boards overtaking moves. . Seriously, this meeting just looks better & better every announcement.

We had decided to attend this event until we checked the diary which confirmed that we have already booked the Barry Sheene memorial weekend at Scarborough on the same date. Its also the same date as the British MotoGP at Donington Park, not sure if that will affect the turnout for Johno. Hope not. Was speaking to PC on Sunday at Stafford. He was in good form. Vaclav Verner was also there too and I wrote some questions out for an interview for on here but as we got busy - I forgot all about it. (sorry Schumi.. the thought was there...)

Stoney & Cam Woodward are replacing Hancock & Harris so they're not additons really. I'm a bit peed off about this really.

This is a meeting designed as a vehicle for all of us to say "Thank you" to a guy who has provided us with so much pleasure and entertainment during the course of his career over here in the UK to date and, hopefully, will continue to do so.

I'd have thought it was obvious... I can't obviously speak for Booey, but i'd imagine he's pissed off that Hancock and in particular Harris have let him down ...We want this to be a successful meeting for Johno, none more so than Booey. I completely agree with him. Not surprised by Hancock though, not one bit. It's not the first time he's committed to meetings then pulled out.

I'm just being slightly personal, this was one of the very few chances to see Greg & he goes & arranges his son's christening(family 1st i understand that) & honestly i wanted to see ALL the 2007 squad & now thanks to the bloody Poles Bomber can't ride. Every rider wants to join Johno's day cos he's given so much, i realise that. It's just that with Bomber in particular now missing i'm annoyed.

STEVE Johnston has completed the field for his Testimonial, now just over a week away, by adding the names of Simon Stead and Linus Sundstrom.
Simon Stead will of course be racing on his current home track having joined the Bees this season. One of the most spectacular riders in World Speedway, he is now a mainstay of the Great Britain team and has increased his average this season.
Linus Sundstrom is a teenage Swede who raced last year in Coventry’s annual individual classic the Brandonapolis and drew much praise for his performance. He rides for the Piraterna team in the Swedish Elite League.
Johno says: "I recently brought a bike over for Linus who wants to ride a few meetings in the UK, so as an afterthought I asked him if he'd like to do my Testimonial. So he is!"
(Note: Chris Holder, who had been pleased to be included in the meeting, has been forced to withdraw as he is riding that day for Australia in a World Under-21 Team Cup round.)
FULL FIELD: LEIGH ADAMS, SCOTT NICHOLLS, JASON CRUMP, LINUS SUNDSTROM, TAI WOFFINDEN, JOE SCREEN, FREDDIE LINDGREN, DAVID HOWE, MIKAEL MAX, RORY SCHLEIN, JASON LYONS, BILLY JANNIRO, STEVE JOHNSTON, CARL STONEHEWER, CAMERON WOODWARD, SIMON STEAD. From www.coventrymotorspeedway.com

Glad it's a nice day for Johnno's testimonial. Hope everyone has a great time there, and Johnno has an awesome time.
