good race but def not at Foxhall, looks like Wolves to me. My apologies. It is indeed Monmore Green. At least I now know James Wright can kind of ride Monmore so no excuses from him if he has a duff meeting there this year.

And here's Lukasz Jankowski's father giving Dennis Sigalos something to think about in the 1980 WTC Final: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDEi28uxfWIAnd to keep the Belle Vue theme going, he might be a crap team manager, but "mighty Mort" was quite a rider: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReIR-S7y4gc

Fame at last for Belle Vue's biggest fan. I can't see any of the current Aces line up calling Mr O'Connor for his mechanical skills. I'm amazed Lee Edwards let him near his bike too. And to think Terry was pleading with the Aces Management to give him the job as Team Manager. ;D

Just found this old footage of a race between Lanarkshire Eagles and Edinburgh Monarchs at Old Meadowbank Speedway in the 50s. Looks like you can buy the whole film, but look at the crowd. ssa.nls.uk/film.cfm?fid=5853

And here's one for KevH and Mimi..... Halcyon days those, with AJ in the team....and another example of how passing is possible around the Arena if you have the talent and the balls to do so!!! I'd love to have a real number one leading us again next season, and AJ would be my first choice.
