Just shows you what a pathetic creature the global superstar is and always will be. Isn't it about time he realised the problem he has with the GPs is that he just isn't bloody good enough?

Hmm. With Gapinski still on the injured list and Dobrucki only just back, the timing could have been better for Hammarby. Being honest, and saying it as I see it, he'd have been better dropping Poland. Rzeszow is falling apart, with riders on warnings, being dropped, and the team all scoring badly, but then I suppose he wants to keep the income. However, I don't see how it'll rescue his GP series.

Must be some barmy quarter-witted idea from his new guru Kelvin Tatum MBE. I can't imagine this will endear him to the Hammarby faithful, or do much for his future prospects in Sweden. Well, would you sign him? Isn't this just the sort of thing British fans are always castigating Polish riders for?

Hammarby simply can't cover for him, especially if Kylmakorpi's injury he picked up the other night is ongoing. They're looking at a top three of Zagar, Dobrucki, Smolinski/Gafurov, with Nicholls possibly returning for the final fixture against Smederna before the play-offs?

Well, I don't think he'll ever be back at Hammarby and frankly as Subedei says - who'd want to sign him for next year.
As for Genghis, fuck off. Your second rate EL is fucking abysmal and deserves all the contempt in the world from riders.

Your second rate EL is fucking abysmal and deserves all the contempt in the world from riders. i would be true to say that currently the british elite league is a joke, and that the swedish league is far stronger, but to be honest, with the growing interest from sky sport, and the fact that the incompetance at the bspa will eventually sort itself out one way or another,i have no doubt our day will come once again. the insults are not too readily welcomed though erik, especially since generally speaking despite your nations ability to produce great speedway riders, football players, tennis players, golfers, athletes and i am sure many winter sportsmen, league, and tournament sports in sweden are of a very poor standard.

What does that even mean? League and tournament sports?
However, I know that was rather uncalled for and I apologize unreservedly.

No league, SWC or GP competition at the moment is good enough for Scott Nicholls to grace his presence with.
Im surprised he doesnt sit out of the whole sport until it bucks its ideas up and gives him some worthy competition.

I think he's being sarcastic. But the global superstar exemplifies the "entitlement" culture that exists within British speedway. Britain is entitled to two place in the GP circus, regardless of merit. And the global superstar is entitled to one of those places. He believes he has a God-given right to be in the GPs. He appears to believe he has a God-given right to win one. He probably curses the Almighty after each GP for denying him his due.

Britain is entitled to two place in the GP circus, regardless of merit. I reckon we'lll be down to one rider in 2009 - Chris Harris. No-one else is up to standard, and Woffinden needs one more year before he's ready. Of course, I'd love Nicholls to prove me wrong.

It seems the first Hammarby knew about this was when they saw the Sky article. They have chosen not to print it until they've spoken to Scott. Presumably, the fact it's still not on their website means they still haven't had any contact with him?

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here, but I saw something on the Reading forum that Matej Zagar is currently witholding his services from Harmmarby due to non-payment by the club.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Erik???
