But it's nuts. A team who finishes SIXTH out of NINE (i.e. in the BOTTOM half of the table) could end up as league champions. How can that be right? You say that, but there is a points handicap in place. Last year, using this year's scoring systems, the team in sixth (Belle vue) would have finished 35 points behind the league leaders. Now, if they could overcome a 35 point handicap in the final to win over two legs then, quite honestly, they's damn well deserve to be champs. You wait until you see the handicap system, you might think differently then.

Oi you! Less of the "unwashed". I'll have you know I have a bath twice a year whether I need it or not. Ladyrobin - I apologise. How about the "slightly unclean at Blunsdon" - does that sound better? A little -makes us sound like lepers now though... Please feel free to add your own punchline

I would like to nominate BSI's favourite charity case Scott Nicholls.
Not in particular for quitting British Speedway, because I'm quite glad to see him go, after the way he treated fans at the ELRC and EL Pairs last season.
But for being a flapperjack in general.

I would like to nominate BSI's favourite charity case Scott Nicholls. I still dont get it Genghis, surely the BSI's favourite charity case is Britain not Scott Nicholls, the latter just happens to be unquestionably the best we have to offer.

Nicholls rides for himself, not Great Britain. Surely his pathetic performances in the World Cup are testament to that. At Coventry this year, did we have a British captain to inspire the rest of the team. Nope, we had someone who sulked in his corner of the pits, because he's not talking to Chris Harris. Pathetic. He should grow up.

Truth is inspiring a team of no-hopers is no more than a pride fuelled pointless exercise, team GB are currently the 5th best side in the world and 5th is where we finished. Are you suggesting Nicholls should be banned because he is a thug ? or dropped from team GB because he is not one of the nations top 5 ? Currently he is Britains number 1, and that is beyond question. as for next year, who knows?

Not that anyone would have noticed - Nicholls was about effective as captain as Jim Lynch was as manager. No, I don't expect us to win the World Cup, but I, at least, expect the team to show a bit of passion.

That didn't happen at Coventry, did it? How can Nicholls score 4 out of 18 available points on the track that had been his home circuit for the previous three seasons. But, no, he was too busy making sure he got into Chris Harris's usual place in the Brandon pits to put one over Harris - instead of concentrating on his track performance.

He put in a poor performance, you dont like him, and you are glad to see the back of him, i am fine with all that, but if you want to see team GB give a 100% it will mean more if they employ the best 5 riders and Scott is the best, so whats your point.

Hatcham - of course, the irony is that due to Sub's campaign against the beggar, I've often stood up for a rider who I've never really liked that much.

I am not a particular fan of Nicholls myself Genghis, and have always thought him unworthy of Grand Prix nomination, however he is Britains number 1, and if that constitutes his inclusion from the powers that be then its hardly Scotts fault is it ? i still dont understand why Sub calls him the beggar, or why people feel he is obligated to ride in Britain or why people like your Oxford mate want to see him excluded from these shores for life, for his decision. (which i think is an extremely poor one)

Probably explains why few of us down Cowley way are fond of the beggar.

Why give all the pairs, elrc, 4 points in the world cup shit ?
