Yes, tail tucked firmly between the legs the global superstar returns - how long before the tail is wagging the dog again? The great experiment ends, as most people suspected it would, in abject failure.

Anybody taking odds on whose next to return The only one who could probably do with the extra rides is AJ. Can't see Crumpy coming back he's really flying ATM, and Nicki I shouldn't think......if only we could persuade Tomasz

Anybody taking odds on whose next to return I can't think of anyone from the GP circus: Nicki P: unlikely now that he's suited and booted in Poland and Sweden. Crump: doing okay, getting good grades, the future's so bright, he's got to wear shades. Gollob: very unlikely. Hancock: very unlikely, unless someone is willing to cough over a lot of readies and even then I'd doubt it. Jonsson: possible, but unlikely - depends on how things go down by the side of the lake. Holta: can't return, since he's never been to begin with. Walasek: never say, never, but a club would have to be fairly desperate and in need of weirdness. Ulamek: another possible, but it would be a fairly desperate move on the part of a promotion. Sajfutdinov: another who can't return for reasons of never having been and his average is a problem.

Anybody taking odds on whose next to return Odds must be better on how long it takes him to end up at reserve, the way he's riding.

Apparently might not after all be signing, perhaps Mr Sandhu has jumped the gun a tad Indeed, but nothing illustrates the shocking shambles that is the BSPA quite so vividly as this. No one seems to know what the actual state of play is. Is this allowed? Is that allowed? And no one seems to know. It's chaos.

If this was Scott's own decision, he has made a massive mistake, he rides all elite tracks very well, and needs the confidence boost that winning in England gives him as well as the considerable vocal support. Many people will clearly take his decision as a slap in the face, and there will be calls for his exclusion from Team GB and the British championship. I expect his popularity to drop to an all time low, from where he will never recover. And i said this

Seriously, think he should give up the GP dream and come back and race full time in the league. The GP is wrecking him and doing him no good at all, but he can still compete with the Elite guys - he showed that on Monday.
