Well, Lee Richardson should be out after last year in any case - he was completely crap. We should put out the youngsters. Yes, we'll get bloody mauled, but it could pay dividends in the years to come. The Danes did the same and look where they are now. So my World Cup squad would be something along the lines of: Chris Harris Edward Kennett Tai Woffinden Lewis Bridger Ben Barker William Lawson Adam Roynon That squad wouldn't even beat my elite league manager/promoter side. Bob Dugard Colin Pratt Chris Morton Alan Rossiter Neil Middleditch John Louis And if you're looking for a #7, there's always Mr Jon Cook.

You've missed my point. Which is the Aussies are good enough to win the World Cup, whereas we are not. So the policies of the two teams should be different. As championship contenders, the Aussies should put out their strongest team. As no hopers, we should blood the youngsters. Understand now? But all our youngsters are no-hopers on the world stage, so do you suggest we put out a team of 5 years olds and hope for the best in 15 years ? Now you're being obtuse. No we give the youngsters plenty of opportunites over the next few years, by which time four or five have hopefully proved they are no longer "no hopers" and ready to take on and beat the world. But if we don't give them the chance, we'll never know will we? What have we got to lose?

But is he a better bet than Pete Adams kev ?, anyway i'm hoping to soon be adding Martin Dugard, Chris Louis and Dave Norris to the squad, Genghis's bunch of losers wont see us for dust.

Hatcham - give it five years, and "my bunch of losers" will be kicking serious ass. ;D ;D It's all about youth development.

I'm not being obtuse Genghis i just believe in putting out our best team and trying to achieve our best position which last year was 5th, disappointing maybe considering our past glories, but unlikely to be bettered in the near future.

Of course he was better than Adams, and not only that, he'd be a plus on the morale side, which can hardly be said for Adams. Louis and Dugard could well join the promoters' ranks in the near future, but let's be honest here, Norris is never going to join them even if he does get the nod for GB Team Manager.

And what is the point in finishing 5th? We may as well finish 7th or 8th for a couple of years, but then in the years to come, we could be finishing 3rd, 2nd or even better. I urge you again to look at the example of the Danes after the retirement of Hans Nielsen. Look where their youth policy took them.

When has Ben Barker done anything wrong? As for Bridger, well he's following in the footsteps of Simmo and Michael Lee.

Kev - but Iversen & Dryml are friends, so clearly Iversen can't think it was deliberate, can he? Whereas the way Nicki sent Greg cartwheeling down the back straight - that was no accident. Greg tried a little payback in an Eastbourne v Oxford meeting, but then realised he could be the one who ended up getting hurt and cooled things off.
