Reading to go PL in the latest rumour? www.readingspeedway.com/news.php?extend.946There was mention of this on the BSF a little while ago, but everyone seems to be being linked with the premier league next year so I didn't take much notice. But when it's on the club's own site it's quite thought provoking.

I don't care what Kev H says, Premier is alot better than Elite and I get to see my beloved Glasgow Tigers.

What's the feeling amongst the fans, and for you personally, Wacks? EL or PL?

There will almost certainly be team changes with Matej Zagar being the main departure. It is believed Peterborough have already expressed their interest in signing the Slovenian. I don't get it. I thought their main complaint about Lukas Dryml this year was his lack of availability. So why would they then want to sign Zagar?

Personally Schumi, I'd prefer PL I think. Reckon Wellie could do a lot of good with some of the younger riders, but think we will stay EL and will be the poor relation in 2008.
As for the Zagar/P'boro rumour - match made in heaven i reckon. ;D

With Reading set to drop down, they have the chance to build a very strong outfit with some of the riders from last season like Krzysztof Buczkowski who could easily be a major scorer in the Premier League.
Would Jonas Davidsson step down on an average around 10 or Sam Simota around 9.22. There could even be a chance Travis McGowan starting as their number one with an average just short of 11 points a match as he may favour the number of meetings compared to the Elite League.
Monday nights seem to be the prefered race night again as well.

Looking a Janusz' website it seems he's decided to give the UK a miss in 2008.
Oh well, at least he won't be "soiled" by signing for a club like P'boro!

Wellie honoured last night at the local sports personality of the year awards picking up the Mayor's special award for services to Reading Speedway.
Nice touch that it's been recognised locally in the town (outside of the speedway community) that withouth Mark & Wellie the sport would have been lost to the town.
