So we're off again.
And with a new week, will we have a new winner? I expect so, because Lord Flapperjack is no longer in the foreground at the Showground.
And no doubt with Lord Flapperjack how heading Olsen by 5 to 4 in the FOTW stakes, Olsen will put in a concerted effort to level matters with a GP looming on the horizon next weekend.
Jacques, you can choose the FOTW winner this week if you like. Are you around next Saturday?

Why are you asking Jacques who can choose next week Genghis? Anyway, I'd like to nominate Damian Dryml, please.

The Grand Monarch and the Workington promotion . We all know the weather was bad all over the country today and because of that the Derwent Park track was a dog's dinner tonight . Why then , with rain falling continually , let the meeting run for 8 heats ( thus rendering re-admission tickets null and void ) before calling it off . Did the Grand Monarch panic as Glasgow had just taken a 25-23 lead .

Can someone - anyone - please enlighten me as to what exactly happened in the pits at Lakeside? I was on my way home from my holidays in Norfolk, and missed all the fuss.
BTW - I'll second the nomination for any announcer who insists on burbling their way through the races. They really get on my tits (and they're not inconsiderable tits, let me tell you).
