Doesn't really construct his point well enough because two Brandon old boys seem to get on fine with it and they haven't got a clue what it's going to be like now they ride elsewhere.

It was certainly a disappointing display from the Hammers tonight.............I expected them to hit 60 ;D............but as they were strengthened by utilising R/R for Allen, I guess we'll have to take what we got. Well, it's now a fact that the Bastion of Delusion is the venue of the worst home record in the Elite League!!!! ..............two defeats and a draw. Gutted that the REAL messiah (read and learn Paulco ) didn't plunder the track record, but it's a formality in either the B fixture or the Craven Shield Final...................the Play-Off Semi at The Bastion now seems most unlikely. Seriously though, great stuff from AJ, JK and JD tonight, with a special mention for Ricky (who did get a point in his last ride ) Kling. A similar display at Swindon on Thursday would be most welcome. Just one last thing...............wasn't it good to see Damian delivering the kind of performance we all expect from him last Saturday. Kev - I thought you were too busy at the moment. Although not too busy for a gloat, it would seem. Although he only scored two points on Saturday, Lukas still provided the best racing of the evening in Heat 20. Whereas I'm sure you'd said he would be half a lap behind the others. Anyway, Lukas was always quite good on the temporary tracks, so the next three rounds will see him strike back. And Lukas is still ahead of the former British champion in the standings. ;D ;D

Bloody awful meeting last night, there was one decent race when Jonsson went from third to first in Heat 13. But it was great to see everyone - with maybe a record number of WWoS forum members at one meeting.

I'm with on that Rob mate, in fact apologies for waking you from your slumber me old fruit ;D. Seriously i'm getting pisssed of with bloody Meredith & his track prep, every excuse under the sun comes out for preparing it slick &it'stime his arse was kicked firmly, Pratty has dispensed of his services before in his time at Brandon & it's time he was made to see the error of his ways in no uncertain terms again. Do as we want or offski is what i'd say.

We don't see ya for weeks, then you pop up for a gloat... A few positives from this meeting, the company, great to meet Braveheart at last. Seeing AJ at Brandon...erm, that's about it really..... I'm annoyed that Paulco had to see such shite... Luckily we're off to Birmingham tomorrow, maybe we'll see some decent Speedway on a DECENT TRACK...

But that's the whole point Harry. Know what I mean? ;D The Lakeside riders didn't know what to expect but the Coventry lads were set up for the track being as it was for the last home meeting against Poole, in other words grippy. But what do they get - exactly the opposite - slick with no chance of the exciting passing from the back racing we saw the previous week. I feel sorry for Paulco being there to watch that gate and go rubbish. The sooner Meredith goes the better.

Anyway, on an unrelated subject, I saw Sky's advert for the British Grand Prix last night. I wish I hadn't. What is it with Sky and trying to make speedway into some ridiculous circus sideshow like boxing? Chris "Last year I had a dream" Harris was maybe supposed to look like a mean and magnificent gladiator, but to me he looked like a constipated cretin.

Maybe, sub that is what it actually is - or regarded as such. Its not helped though by all the negativity heaped on it though does it? Maybe, they were actually trying to emphasis the opposite to your analogy. A small, slightly built English chap that took on the worlds best and beat them with the odds against him of looking like a 'constipated cretin'.

It's still a huge improvement on last year's "effort"

I'm annoyed that Paulco had to see such shite... Jacques - aren't you annoyed that Genghis and Braveheart had to watch such shite as well? I thought it was not a bad meeting actually, what you can expect from an Elite League meeting. It was made much better for me that my team won and the company on the night. Oh yeah, and the track was unnecessarily over watered last night. I have been to Ashfield and I know how good the racing is, just wish I could be there every week. The problem is the heat leaders in the Elite League spend loads of money on equipment and the reserves just don't have the money, hence the rubbish racing in the Elite League most of the time. Give me Premier League racing, any day.

If Jacques is apologizing I want an apology from Kev H (or Mrs Kev Douglas) as I don't seem to see much action there either

Yes, Jacques, Oxford did have a shite team most of the time, but as compensation, we had a super little racetrack, so it wasn't very often we saw duff meetings. The opposite to Coventry, really, as you've normally got a good team but the Brandon raceway rarely produces exciting racing.
