So are Kev and Braveheart going to be joining us on Monday ? That would make it a cracking evening . I should be joining you Paulco although they're quite injury hit at work at the moment. Will text you Paulco, if I do manage to get there and will meet you in your temporary office

As some of you may be aware from the Swedish thread, Adam Shields pulled out of last night's meeting before his final ride after an injury. It has now been confirmed on the Hammers' website that Adam dislocated his shoulder and it's currently unclear as to whether he will be able to ride next week (Lakeside don't have a home meeting this Friday.) This is a massive blow to Lakeside as Adam has been riding really well. Here's hoping it's not too serious, and we'd like to wish him all the best for a full and fast recovery. His recovery is going better then expected but Coventry on Monday is far too soon, he will see his physiotherapist on Monday and only then will he look toward a comeback date. Sweden on Tuesday also seems out of the question too...

And the final result was a comfortable win for Lakeside (41:49) - the bastion of delusion's foundations are surely crumbling now. Had a text from everyone's favourite heathen after Ht 13 that said: "Cov in a 5-1 but Jonsson superb. Stead shit it and fell when AJ dived inside." But paulco wasn't exactly impressed with the Elite League - gate and go pish, mostly, was his considered opinion. He's a down to earth fellow, give him the Premier League, a couple of pints and the Messiah and he's happy.

It was certainly a disappointing display from the Hammers tonight.............I expected them to hit 60 ;D............but as they were strengthened by utilising R/R for Allen, I guess we'll have to take what we got. Well, it's now a fact that the Bastion of Delusion is the venue of the worst home record in the Elite League!!!! ..............two defeats and a draw. Gutted that the REAL messiah (read and learn Paulco ) didn't plunder the track record, but it's a formality in either the B fixture or the Craven Shield Final...................the Play-Off Semi at The Bastion now seems most unlikely. Seriously though, great stuff from AJ, JK and JD tonight, with a special mention for Ricky (who did get a point in his last ride ) Kling. A similar display at Swindon on Thursday would be most welcome. Just one last thing...............wasn't it good to see Damian delivering the kind of performance we all expect from him last Saturday.

Crap meeting! Gate and go. Cov. lack an outright number 1 -- yeah Bomber is great on a good day BUT Scotty was good in almost EVERY elite league meeting (forget GP's for now) The Bees miss him.

They may well miss the former British champion, but that wasn't the problem last night. Look at the two away wins in the Elite League last night and you'll see that the difference was at the opposite end of the teams. Namely Kylmakorpi and Skornicki. Coventry's management clearly failed to learn the lesson from last season, when it was Johnston and Janniro at reserve that really brought home the bacon when it counted. Last week, against Poole, Coventry's reserves did the business, tonight they couldn't cope with Kylmakorpi.

, with a special mention for Ricky (who did get a point in his last ride ) Kling. I may have got it wrong Kev. The bet could have been on his second last ride which he did come last. Enjoying the company so much last night (Paulco, Genghis, Jacques, and FT) that my brain wasn't functioning properly. Great to meet so many new people, including Jacques, SJL, Cousteau and others who I have forgotten their names. There is only one Messiah Kev and he rides for Glasgow. (Lee Dicken ;D) Hope to see you at Somerset, Paulco and enjoy our wins at Birmingham and Sheffield
