From http://www.speedwayworld.tv:
Coventry captain Chris Harris was involved in a controversial incident with Poole guest Mads Korneliussen at Wimborne Road on Wednesday. The Pirates won the Elite League clash against Coventry by a comfortable 53-39 margin, but the events of Heat 10 were a major talking point as Harris tried to prevent a Poole 5-1 but ended up tangling with Korneliussen, who fell heavily. The home management were incensed when the referee excluded Korneliussen, and Harris himself admitted that he would not have complained had he been excluded. Korneliussen said: "I was inside, with Bjarne (Pedersen) on the outside, for two-and-a-half laps. There was no chance he could pass me on the inside because there was no gap. He hit me once and just kept going. He never throttled off. "We had the advantage going into the second bend but the referee probably couldn't see what actually happened." Harris said: "There was a hole down there and I decided to take it as I was going down the straight, but the hole got smaller as I came into the corner. I don't go out to knock people off, I'm not a dirty rider but these things happen." Chris Holder scored a 15-point maximum for the home side, whilst Harris and Janniro both scored 13 for the Bees, who saw Olly Allen crash out of the meeting in his second ride.

A the moment we are sat third from bottom of the table...with Peterborough and Ippo having two meetings in hand..so this time next week, we'll be propping you all up.. ( i wonder if the sport is heading for some sort of legal challenge against the ever changing points limit,it seems so bizarre that a well run successful club like coventry could face relegation, when the riders, promotion, track, support and money were all in place, for another title challenging season. The only people the Coventry promotion have to blame SR ,are themselves.
