I have had a little moan over there about that meeting but only about the child prices (not for myself as the kids were never going to go but playing a little devils advocate for others who may have thought to take their kids), the actual meeting itself is an exciting introduction to the new season and the adult tickets are priced extremely well, especially the ticket which provides a meal included.

Apologies for my late appearance on this thread.
Genghis, I have already stated that this will be a "week" judging period, so don't be worrying yourself over it, some of us know how to do the job properly.....
As I'm a rare visitor to the BSF these days, if anyone wants to nominate anyone from over there then fine but you MUST provide a link to there to enable me to see what your complaint is. I certainly don;t have any issues around someone from there being nominated - if they deserve it then the award will be theirs!
Kev - good plan, but sadly I don't post on the Ippo forum now either, so they don't bother me any more!!
As for Ludicrous Drivel, well he might have been a good candidate but I'd not spoil Kev's fun by choosing him.....!

But the ridiculous child prices is a valid arguement . By all means stage a fantastic meeting such as this , but don't take it out of the reach of working class families . It isn't Premiership football after all .

It isn't Premiership football after all . It is a shame about the kiddies prices - fair enough to not have reduced seating prices when you've only got a certain number of seats, but standing prices should include a substantial reduction for the kids (it should be a fiver at most for them). But I've seen comments along the lines of "I hope it pisses down and rains it off", which is a very over the top reaction. It's good to see a British domestic meeting getting a bit of promotion for once. It hope it is a big success.

I haven't read the thread on the BSF , having little or no interest in the meeting , but only a moron would wish that on the Poole promotion . Prices are a bit over the top , but i hope it's a good curtain raiser for the season at the top level .

Witch - problem is with Saint Dryml not riding at all in Britain this year, Kev will have no reason to pick him. Humph..... "Ludicrous Drivel". ;D I would like to nominate Witch as Flapperjack Of The Week.

Kev, I think you're getting confused mate. This is not the Mutt's Nuts section, where Saint Dryml will be receiving a nomination after he reaches his first GP final of the year.

Erm have you two not got your own thread to argue about stuff like this Paulco - we have, but it never gets used. It's much more fun to hijack other threads. EDIT: And, on this occasion, Young Subedei actually brought the topic up.

I've had my own little gripe about the Poole meeting too. It's the prices & charges that annoy me, i couldn't go anyway for personal reasons but i would've been put off by it if i could have.

Sadly I seem to recall someone else is due the credit for that one Kev. Maybe Badge? I liked it enough to file it away for future use though. ;D As for Ludicrous Drivel, well he might have been a good candidate but I'd not spoil Kev's fun by choosing him.....! Never in a month of Sundays will his song win Eurovision.
