Well, after the pantomime that is a genghis decision, it's now the turn of a no-nonsense witch to decide who's the flapperjack - we're open for nominations.

I would like to nominate the mindless morons on the Ipswich Forum who deserve to have blunt pencils stabbed in their eyes. Shall we close the thread now, and move on to next week? ;D ;D

I hope Witch will be nominating the winner next Saturday... none of this asking for a week's extension crap.

Can we please ever get around to nominating someone from another forum?
I love this forum very much and in my own mediocrity way, I have tried to promote it but I find it very hard at times to be part of a forum of really nice decent people that just complains all the time about members of another forum?
One or two yes, but please let us move on for Christs sake and make this a section about those dick heads, idiots, your worst nightmare, bad day, bad week or whoever, rather than someone who belongs specifically to another forum (that most of you seem to post on, on a regular basis it seems - so why are you different..) which has many a speedway folk wondering what are we about.?

which has many a speedway folk wondering what are we about.? Do you know, Jim, I gave up caring about that some time ago. Only one person's opinion matters to me, and it's not any of them. I know I love it here, and I'm not going to let it get to me what other people think. If they don't want to join us it's their loss.

Fair enough Schumi and I totally respect your point of view on that issue but there is still the one of associating this forum which I firmly believe (mostly down to your personal ingenuity and efforts) is a superior product. It still does not detract from the irony of many members from this board posting away on another board and then giving them stick for their opinions. Double standards? All, I am suggesting is let them stew and and ignore them and create a FOTW from another source. As often been the case. There are enough serial flapperjacks in the world, as it is without picking on a forum that most of our members contribute on a regular basis anyway. Come on - its not rocket science is it?

Jim - that was part of my reason in picking Derek Barclay ahead of Andy M, the latter being merely a BSF poster. Although the argument has been going on since Thrusday in the CL section of the BSF, it was started by an extremely provocative and untrue statement in the "Season Low" section of the Sittingbourne track review. So it didn't actually come from the BSF. I guess, with the winner normally being picked from speedway circles, and it still being out of season, most nominations will come from the BSF or other forums at the moment. Once the season starts, it will change.

Yes it will be back to messers Flint , Carrington , McGregor , Chapman , Horton ( okay he never goes out of fashion i know ) and the rest of the usual suspects .

Fair call Rob. I did read it and got the gist of it. It did seem a bit out of order. Though to me its still seemed six of one and half a dozen of the other. Please do not get me wrong though, anyone is fair game for it of course whom ever they are, but I just get a bit frustrated that nice enough folk on here make nominations about someone from 'that forum' really on the basis they just do not agree with them. Then in some cases they join us and it all seems so pointless.... As I previously stated, due to the input and work of Schumi and the freedom of speech etc and Sube inclined to listen to another's point of view we have a better product here. We can debate and make our points usually without abuse or falling out. Very rare with speedway forums especially one with very little moderation. The BSF is a fantastic forum for information, and I understand and appreciate why members of this forum post on there. But, lets leave the fucking idiots on there to them selves now and let us concentrate on frying bigger fish, (the Grimsby based metaphor was intended by the way... ;D) all I am trying to say.... ...

Jim - I can see you point exactly, and indeed I've said exactly the same in the past. But I guess that this thread is a great place to let off a bit of steam and also have a bit of fun. I don't think it causes any harm to have the odd pop at a BSF poster, as, after all, we also poke fun at each other on here and indeed ourselves. The more substantial parts of this forum are elsewhere, such as the fixture and interview sections.

I would like to nominate everyone (not just those on the BSF!!! ;D ), who have chosen to take a pop at the Poole anniversary meeting. Here we have a meeting being properly promoted for once. Personally, I hope the meeting is well attended and that the weather behaves itself. It's no less than the Poole promotion deserve.
