Lupus
Thank you so much...Still trying to work out who you are...but surely after meeting me you realise i am not obtruse...I just happened to have a different opinion to a couple of people....would not matter who they are i would still have said the same......I like Nigel Pearson.....I feel he does an awful lot of work for Speedway...and when he is commentating always mentions big meetings coming soon....Like the Gary Stead meeting...He must have mentioned it 20 times on Sky....and if that got 1 more person through the turnstiles for that meeting then i say good on the fella...Now you may not like his commentating style...fine...everyone is entitled to that...but you can turn the sound down...or switch off completely.....I dont like Tony Millard.....But i would never leave a nasty message about his commentating style on his guestbook...because i could do no better...fact

I agree with Subedei - his voice is atrocious. Is there really a need to shout during a speedway race? That isn't commentary.

I like Nigel Pearson too and you can hardly blame the guy for reacting to comments posted on here and on his guestbook. You could hardly call it constructive criticsm.
I don't know the guy from adam, but he always comes across as profesional and will always promote the sport where possible.
People may not like his style of commentary, but plenty of people do as he is obviously getting more and more work offers.
Maybe Subedei has got him all wrong? ;D

I'm ambivalent about the commentators....mainly because I make so much noise myself when a race is on that it drowns out the telly completely! ;D

Bit like that in our house too, in fact maybe SKY should get me commentating (although it might have to be after the watershed) as our neighbours now know when speedways on even though they don't have SKY themselves. They've never been to a meeting in their lives, but know Matej is a wanker, Crump is a ginger tosser and Nicholls does nothing but make up excuses. They are so intriged now, the husband wants me to take him & his boy along to Smallmead at some point this season just to see what i make all the noise about.

Okay, time to put this thread to bed. After seriously considering bazaar3, I decided there can only be one real winner. Step forward Drop a cog. You're a flapperjack. Gutted. I demand a recount.

Well, mr2awards, I'm about to set up the next flapperjack thread and you can be the decision maker.
