Some people eh Question to all the WW regulars, why do you wanna call people c*u*n*t*s? And do you forget that a flapperjack supposedly means a c*u*n*t? I think it's great being able to say what ya think on this forum, in most instances anyhow, but this stupid, childish flapperjack of the week thing totally discredits everyone who posts on it imo!!

Why does this bloody page not fit on my pc screen and I have to move the bar at the bottom to read what's been posted???
How annoying, it's just this page. I refer you back to my nomination.. It's soooooooooooooooooooooo bloody irritating isn't it Some people don't always realise the consequences of their actions

Looking back at the nominations from this and previous weeks I don't think anyone has forgotten what flapperjack supposedly means. As to why people on here want to refer to others as flapperjacks, well I guess it's because they think they are one! Guess if you think it's stupid and childish the best option is to steer clear of the section and let the rest of us get on with letting off steam.

But that is actually the point; you can either take some pride in being called a flapperjack, or you can take umbridge because you have in the forefront of your mind what flapperjack is the alternative word for. So, you can either laugh at yourself, or take it to heart, it's your choice, and I'm sure every poster that nominates on here realises that.

On a day when the biggest surge down the North Sea since 1953 is expected to hit the East Coast and with large parts of Gt Yarmouth and other coastal areas already evacuated, I decided like a good citizen wishing to be prepared to check the Environment Agency site to see if my area was still on Floodwatch or if we were in imminent danger. Guess what. The fucking website is down for "essential maintainence"

On a day when the biggest surge down the North Sea since 1953 is expected to hit the East Coast So what's actually happened? I assume the complete absence of news this morning means it all ended-up being a not-so-damp squib, or is it because everyone has drowned in the UK? The media were trying to big-up the whole thing last night, but the caveat was that the surge needed to coincide with high tide.

They evacuated parts of Gt Yarmouth and other districts. I beleive some parts of the coast were subject to overtopping. As I'm at work I haven't heard how serious it was in the worst affected areas but I do know that our vehicles(EoEAS) have been used in Yarmouth and Waveney to help out. With respect tho Wibblemuis, unless you live in this part of the country and know how bad the floods were in 1953 it is difficult to understand. Once the waters come over the sea defences large areas flood very swiftly. On this occasion I think the warnings were justified. You just have to look at the outcry over the lack of action during the summer flooding in the west of the country and in Yorkshire to see whatever the authorities do they simply can't win. Living in a flood risk area I'd far rather have 30-40 warnings and alerts and nothing happened than not get one cos they are frightened they'd be accused of overreaction. As I understand it the surge coming before high tide can also be dangerous if the winds keep the water in in the run up to high tide.

I was actually impressed by the way they had reacted to it, ( makes a bloody change) I live in a flood risk area and know what it's like worrying about it. Looks like they were well prepared for what the eventuality may have been, I'd happily suffer a bit of inconvenience to be honest.
