I suspect Lindback's biggest problem is that he's being very poorly advised. Or maybe he's missing his lover boy! ;D Tell me more

Looks like Mateusz our fine Polish buddy from the BSF has been increasingly annoyed at Mr.Turner's editing.
Editing stuff to make appear he supports ZG and then when angered he rightly swore only to be edited again.

I also notice that not a thing has been done about the insult hurled on a recent Peterborough thread, yet try to have a sensible discussion about the future of the team and the thread is closed on the grounds of being 'off topic'. Pathetic.

What's the name of the councillor trying to shut down Swindon Speedway? He would be a very worthy winner of this week's award.

I've not seen this but are you sure it was serious because I thought Steve and Mateusz were good friends? It might have just been a joke between the two of them....or I could be completely wrong of course. ;D

What's the name of the councillor trying to shut down Swindon Speedway? He would be a very worthy winner of this week's award. No such person. Gaming International through PPS with Thistle Land have submitted theirplans for the stadium and surrounding fields - a huge housing and industrial site crammed to the rafters. A planning Case Officer has now returned a report to the Council recommending that the councillors REFUSE the application when they vote next tuesday. His refusal was well predicted as the plan far from being in accordance with all guiding protective covenants, land use law, local plans, regulations etc The councillors meet 6pm tuesday and decide from 3 options. 1: Refuse, in accordance with the report 2: Defer for a period of time 3: Refer - upwards to Local Gov who will be more receptive if the council make that move ("If Swindon say OK then we like it") [ROCK]------Speedway Fans-----[Hard PLACE]

So, is it just the stadium, or the whole submission that is being recommended for refusal?

Surely the Flapperjack of the Week must go to last nights Referee at Poole, Ms Christina Turnbull. Billy Janniro fell on the first bend, possibly due to first bend bunching. Clearly he was not going to get up so the red light should have gone on. In between the 3rd and 4th bend which is a bloody long way, the red light went on after Troy Bachelor has fallen. She excluded both Troy and Billy

Clearly he was not going to get up so the red light should have gone on. In between the 3rd and 4th bend which is a bloody long way, the red light went on after Troy Bachelor has fallen. She excluded both Troy and Billy I've no idea what the rules say re this situation, I gave up on rules a long time ago, but logically I think from your description she got it right. If Janniro fell and didn't touch the air fence, she rightly gave him time to get up and clear the track. Had he touched the air fence, red lights should have gone on. So she allowed the race to continue, Troy fell at other end of track, she glanced saw Billy still on the deck and put the lights on, giving the other riders time to stop. In the meantime Troy had fallen, presumably on his own. As both Billy and Troy were down and presumably not under power when the race was stopped, they should both have been excluded.

The rules say, I believe, that you have to be under power at the time of the stoppage to be allowed in a re-run. Thus, if the referee delayed putting on the red lights until after the Poole guy had fallen and excluded Janniro for being the primary cause of the stoppage, then the Poole guy would also be excluded for not being under power at the time of the stoppage. I think the argument is that the referee delayed too long in putting the red lights on. But, under the circumstances, as they appear to me, Janniro was the flapperjack for not clearing the track - if the race isn't stopped immediately, then you're obviously up for an exclusion.

Going in the garden to eat worms because no-one is agreeing with me. I know the rules say about not being under power etc etc but Janniro shouldn't have eaten that last pie so there was no way he was going to get up. Troy wouldn't have fallen if the red light had gone on before he got to the third bend.

Another Flapperjack Whoever was interviewing Jason Crump on the centre green and introduced Jason as "Poole's World Champion". He's not, he's Belle Vue's World Champion or was anyway. He won the title whilst he was with them. I didn't say anything last night in a grandstand full of Poole supporters but I am safe now to do so, I hope ;D
