Well, after being in the running a few times, young Turner finally turned from bridesmaid to bride and become Flapperjack of the Week. Can he makes a desperate bid to become the first person to retain the title, or will Jim McGregor exclude the Messiah at Armadale next Friday and claim the title? Yes, young paulco has agreed to decide who will be this week's Flapperjack of the week and we are now open for nominations.

Can't believe i'm going to say this but my nomination is Nicki Pedersen!!!
I have just finnished watching the Grand Prix and the way he carried on after Hans beat him in the semi was just plain stupid. He made himself look like a complete twat and gave people even more reasons not to like him. It took the shine off what had otherwise been another great performance from him.

A worthy candidate Mimi as he did make an arse of himself . Also the cameraman has got to be a candidate for not focusing on Miss White enough at the start . But it's a long week . We still got the Scottish derby to go . ;D

Still shocked that Schumi didn't use her power of veto and select Alonso last week. Was almost certain she wouldn't let anyone else win. As for this week, I get a distinct impression that what happens at Armadale on Friday will have a large say in the winner Although he probably won't win, I would like to nominate "The Know", because he's highly arrogant and actually knows fuck all. All the best Rob

All the best Rob I'm not exactly sure why, but that has really tickled me Rob. ;D My first nomination goes to the Start line tart in yellow. Every bloody GP she's pouting and gurning at the damn camera trying to steal the show... Oi start line girl. you're a mingher, now jog on.

But he offered me VIP passes to Cardiff, so I'm a bit biased. Sounds like our first bribes for flapperjack honours scandal. ;D And Sub, you doth protest too much! What you're supposed to say is: "Yes, I did notice Miss White, you could hardly not notice the way she was flouncing around, looking for attention, we have a few like that in this cruel, crazy town. She may appeal to some tastes, such as young Paulco, however for this old Mongol, she wasn't even a patch on lovely Schumi, who's the only girl for me." ;D Then again, whatever you say is likely to be wrong (this is not an obeservation on Schumi, but women in general) so silence is probably the best policy! All the best Rob

Once again I'd like to nominate the "foreign named Brits are brilliant" poster on BSF. Not only because he cannot read posts properly when they relate to Scott Nicholls but most of all because he apparently thinks people do not have the right to reply on this board (or should that be bored) I nominate Jirout,
My reply to said flapperjack on BSF is liable to be deleted cos I had the temerity to say free speech is not guaranteed on there.

Fortunately, as you say, free speech is allowed to here, so I can defend Jirout.
He's alright - I've had many a light-hearted discussion with Johnny over the years.
All the best Rob

I think what he is alluding to is his sole contribution here being cruelly cut down by another poster. His contribution is in the SWC Final thread, as is the other poster's response, which beggarjaybea has chosen not to reply to.

My nomination for Flapperjack of the week goes to Travel Plus Tours. I cringed the day they sponsored the BSF as it made it a more unpleasant place for me to visit. I'll start of with what an absolute rip-off their prices are. £399 for 3 nights in Poland (Bydgoszcz trip from Stansted airport on Ryanair), you're having a laugh ! Even if you were to book the same flight today it would only cost you £154. You can be sure they haven't paid as much as that for their flights. So, what do you get for the rest of your hard-earned ? 3 nights in a 5* hotel in Poznan (with a 2 hour coach trip to and from the GP thrown in ). Poznan is a lovely place and does offer some more culture than the hallowed city of Bydgoszcz, but I really would prefer to be a bit closer to the venue of the big meeting. That's pretty much all you get other than the re-assurance that you are 'fully escorted from arrival in Poland'. Well, if you're unfortunate enough to be escorted by the wittering bitch I had the displeasure of sitting across the aisle from on one ofthe flights to a GP last year then good on you. My god she never shut up and she was sooooooooo full of herself. If you're on the tour, you are funding pains in the arses like her. I've had a longstanding dislike for Travel Plus Tours, especially since all of the cheap airlines came to being as I really don't see how you can justify the prices that are charge. How I chuckle when I see their anorak laiden coaches when on foreign trips. However the real gem I discovered was that they are offering a trip to the Under 21 final in Ostrow on the Sunday after the Bydgoszcz GP as an optional extra. The distance from Poznan to Ostrow is around 120km yet somehow they are managing to charge their clients £25 for the priviledge of being taken there. I and some friends in Bydgoszcz have arranged a coach to take us from Bydgoszcz to Ostrow (some 80 km further) yet our coach is working out at approximately £5.40 per head. You do the maths. In my opinion, that company really takes the piss when it comes to ripping people off and therefore receive a firm recommendation as my Flapperjack of the week. I know at least one person on here (Rob P) has been on one of their trips, so feel free to defend them - I dare you Rico

I know that from your point of view they're the mortal enemy young rico, but isn't the fair city of Torun supposed to be one of Poland's cultural gems and just up the Vistula from Bydgoszcz?

All hotels in the Torun area were fully booked according to their diatribe. It was easy enough to get a hotel in Bydgoszcz though. Rico

KevH was on their recent SWC tour through Denmark,Germany and Poland.Maybe he has some thoughts on the company.I guess with these travel firms it is easy for people who can't be bothered to plan such a trip for themselves
