I know that will please quite a few Bandits fans. Makovsky has been loyal to Berwick, so deserved a return. Fucking excellent news, a rider who never gives any less than100% WELCOME BACK SKIPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Bandits fan on the BSF is going to reveal a new signing for the Bandits at 2pm. Every 5 minutes there's a countdown by Spin King.

2 riders and only 5 weeks (i think) till the start of the season
surely P.W. will need to have his full team out in a week or two or he is goin to loose more support
Also anyone know the situation on sponsors now ?

Okay, Tero Aarnio. First thoughts were "oh my god" and having refreshed my memory I can see why. Aged 24 and averaged 9.68 in Finland, but that's not so impressive when you look at the competition. Injured his ankle on the first day at Kiel last weekend, but hopefully that's just a minor injury.
He's ridden in Sweden, but not much experience of the UK, although he has had a couple of individual meetings. He rode in the David Nix memorial coming second to Adam Roynan, but beating the likes of Benji Compton, Byron Bekker and Mark Thompson. It seems his major downfall is his equipment, and if I'm right in thinking he's on a 7 or 8 point average he's likely to struggle to maintain that. IF he is, and this signing is with a view to the future, he could prove a decent reserve for next year, however, given the close-season attitude that seems synonymous with Berwick, I'm not sure it is.
Good luck.

I saw Tero representing Finland in the World Cup at Vojens last year, where he failed to score a point. Naturally, the opposition was stronger than he'll face in the PL, but who knows, even Ivan Mauger was sent home after his initial attempts to land a team spot.

;D Think it a strange signing though.Have seen Tero a few times. One of the main promoters here is married to a Finnish woman,so i guess there is a similar situation to John Louis and Marta. Also saw him last year in the Nordic Final of the European Championship at Esbjerg where he was last with one point in a field a lot weaker than the SWC www.speedway.org/speedway-em/2007/index.html#kroskro
