Y The Sun ain't Gonna Shine by the Walker Bros Dancing in the Streets by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas We have all the time in the World by Louis ~Armstrong. Love those two songs. I've actually 'borrowed' several sixties albums of my parents. I love the music, the whole general theme of the sixties. I only wish I'd been alive then to enjoy that era. Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison Gotta love that song - tis a classic now. Fire - The crazy world of Arthur Brown You really got me - Kinks That first song is hilarious. ;D The second ones still popular today.. Think its on my guitar hero video game actually. And missed who said it, but the hippy hippy shake was one of my favourite songs when I was growing up! Was 'tell laura I love her' a sixties song? Also theres songs like leader of the pack that are just great, IMO.

Was 'tell laura I love her' a sixties song? Only just, a hit here for Ricky Valance in the summer of 1960.

For sheer unadulterated crap its hard to go past "Dance round the Maypole" by Acid Gallery.
One of my favourites of the era was "Out Demons Out" originally by the Fuggs butintroduced to Pommy Audiences by Edgar Broughton Band. Anyone remember their "Music should be Free" Tour? Showing up in open spaces on the back of a truck, advertising by word of mouth to prevent prosecution? Think the original "Heard it on the Grapevine" by Gladys Knight & the Pips qualifies as well.

Ah, the lovely Honey Lantree, what would be called today the band's 'Unique Selling Point', back then she was probably known as a gimmick! I don't know if it's on youtube, but there was a great period interview done with the Honeycombs where she did the typical 'little woman' speech about she looked after the boys and did their washing etc., how times have changed. By way of a neat segue, that record was produced by the legendary Joe Meek and they've been filming a biopic of him this year for later release; called 'Telstar', I would imagine it would be a must see for any 60s music fan.
