Tomorrow afternoon, I'm doing a show featuring songs from the 60s, but our collection of records from that era is a bit small and predictable, so I'm raiding my own collection; my question to the good people of TWW is, if you had to pick 2 songs from the 60s that you don't hear very often, but aren't so weird and wonderful as to be more of a turn off than an interest, what would they be?
Secondly, while I'm here, a possible question of ethics; I happen to like Jonathan King's 'Everyone's Gone To The Moon', and so did quite a few other people as it shipped 4.5 million copies in 1965.
Now, whatever you may or may not think of him as a person, this is a record from over 40 years ago, and a pretty good one, which is all I'm interested in; so, would you take offence at hearing this song on the radio?

Thanks for that, it goes on the list to be paired with either Thunderclap Newman's 'Something In The Air', or the slightly more subtle Hedgehoppers Anonymous 'Good News Week'.

I probably wouldn't object, but I would "zone out". Not necessarily because I think he's a perverted scumbag who deserves to eat shit for the rest of his life, but also because I think the song's crap.

Pink Floyd "Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave and Grooving With A Pict" The Beatles - "Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand"
Two very well-known groups, but off-the-wall recordings (one highly experimental and one a version of a well-known song in German!), and on albums, "Ummagumma" and "Past Masters: Volume One", that are widely available.
Incidentally I've always quite liked "Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave and Grooving With A Pict" - it's one of the few highlights of Pink Floyd's worst studio album (although the accompanying live album is much better).
