Rumours are growing in intensity that Desperate Deek might not be Ann Summer's captain in 2008 . Sources tell me that Deek and his appointed driver could be looking for pastures new next year . As long as he doesn't head west i dont care . "Sources" indeed. While there's no guarantee that anyone other than the two already signed will be in the team (that will depend on how the jigsaw develops) all such "rumours" seem to eminate from the West. The only one ruled out for next year from the team which finished last year is Kai Laukkanen according to the information given at last night's video night.

Merlin , sign who you want - i don't really care . You know and i know that next season , once again , Scotland's premier team will be the Tigers . Apart from one flukey season in 2003 , that is the norm . ;D

You keep repeating yourself - you already told Midnight Lady you didn't care who we signed. Since you always have plenty to say about the goings on at Edinburgh, I find that hard to believe. Well next season is a new game... history will mean nothing. Have a season decimated from the start by injuries to key riders (heaven forbid!!) and see how your beloved Tiggers do then. When they lost Parker towards the end of last season they didn't look so clever, did they?

Still looked cleverer than Berwick, but that didn't take much.

Nothing much emanating out of Camp Mince regarding signings since Andrew Tully put pen to paper . Surprised really that George Stancl decided to return to the land of the geordies , but i cant say i'm sorry at that as it just didn't look right - George with a Monarchs race jacket on . Surprised Captain Desperate hasn't signed yet - what's happening ?

We've lost too many riders in the past who were supposedly on their way to Armadale only to be gazumped at the last moment. The loss of George Stancl was a disappointment but not that crucial. George has his moments; the question is will he have enough of them? Your guess is as good as mine.

Still nada , nothing or zip zero on the team building front . See William Lawson moaning in this mornings paper that he cant get his team place sorted until Edinburgh allow other tracks to talk to him . Is he not in the running for a Monarchs jacket then ? The way he is moaning in the paper it would seem not . Surely Matthew Wethers and Desperate Deek must be certainties to be in blue and gold in 2008 .

And our friends in the East have announced the capture of young Swede Tomas H Jonasson . For young Kev H's benefit he was born in Vetlanda Sweden on the 27th of November 1988 . And the young laddie takes to the track at the Stadium of Mince on a 7.00 average . So that's three down , four to go for Scotland's other team . ;D

Tomas H. Jonasson or THJ as he's usually called in Sweden is a good, fast prospect who's come in for a lot of stick in the last two years for riding very aggressively and perhaps over the top at times. Interesting signing!
