Could they bring someone in? I guess they could, what with Vaculik definitely out for the rest of the year. I saw someone suggested Zagar, who's unattached.

Like Vaculik who rode for Smederna but when Smederna folded all riders were considered "unattached" and which is why Vetlanda could bring in Vaculik. *edit* according to Bosse Wirebrand the new rider is not allowed to have been riding in Sweden the past two seasons. IMO that is just very silly. i mean the past two years? I think taht it would be ok to bring in a rider who have been riding less then 4 meetings this season and that is currently unattached. After all this is the playoffs and teams cannot help that their riders is getting injured and the squads are limited to 9 riders. For Vetlanda 4 of them are now inured. 3 of these 4 cannot ride more this season.

If a rider hasn't ridden in Sweden for two years, they don't need transfer documents, so that's kind of what he means I think. Matej Zagar is unattached, yes, but he needs a transfer document as he has been listed in a Swedish squad sometime during the two latest years. And addition to this rule is that a rider who has been riding in Sweden in the two latest years can sign with Elit Vetlanda, if the latest team was in fact Vetlanda, ex. Ales Dryml. The list of possible replacements are narrow: 1) An entirely new rider to the Swedish league structure 2) A rider not riding in Sweden for two years (Tomas Topinka, Gary Havelock,...) 3) A rider with Elit Vetlanda as the latest team (Ales Dryml) 4) A rider from Ikaros Smederna, yet to being picked up by another team (Troy Batchelor, Robert Miskowiak)
Some comments from the Elit Vetlanda vs Indianerna meeting on Tuesday, better late than never... For Elit Vetlanda, Richardson had a poor showing by his high standards, but at least clinched the meeting in heat 15. Vaculik had a great debut for Elit Vetlanda, amazing gates most of the night earned him a place in the final heat, in which he finished last. Hampel was great, as always around Vetlanda, even team-rode home his younger team-mates at times. Hougaard blew hot and cold, but 6 points as a second string is good enough. Ljung....well, I do feel sorry for him, because I know he can do a lot at home. Jonasson was fantastic, enough said. Aldén was solid and contributed with his fair share. For Indianerna, Walasek had a poor night after being red hot the week before. Zetterström was OK, but has done very well in some Swedish Championship at Vetlanda, so I know he can better than this. Protasiewicz never looked like missing time from injury, at his best to put it simple. Monberg started well but faded dramatically. Holta looked like going through the night unbeaten, but had to give in eventually. Gustafsson was never in the races. Madsen must have had his worst meeting of the season, a shadow of the normal Madsen I have seen in three previous meetings between the teams. Man of the match: Thomas H Jonasson Most exciting rider: Rune Holta

anders but there doesn't seems to be any thing in the rules about that? Nothing that can verify Bosses claims.
So are SVEMO having some extra unspecified rules or what?
and why would you need transfer papers for a rider that do not have contract with a team this year?
