After the excitement of last night's speedway, the quarter finals will look like this:
08.09.09
Indianerna v Vetlanda Vargarna v Västervik Dackarna v Lejonen
The return leg is the following week, on the 15th.

my prediction for the qf's is that the 4 teams from Småland will go through to semifianl Vargarna have a small chance if the do a very good meeting at home.

It's very hard to say which meeting will be the closest and spring the "lucky loser", but I think a trip to Norrköping on Tuesday might be worthwile for me

Yeah and then Hampel crashes out in his first outing in Kumla and they'll have to cover him with reserves. Safe my arse

some say that Laguta wont ride on Tuesday because he will be occupied with meetings in Russia.
Its a shame really that they and us cant synchronize to prevent schedule collisions.

It's the Russian Championships next week. from what i can see, the final of the Individual Championship is on Sunday and then some Junior Team Champ Final on Wednesday but Laguta is surely to old for the Jr meeting? Nothing on Monday or Tuesday. tinyurl.com/mj7ta4

Nothing on Monday or Tuesday. Euther you are misreading the fixtures or I am! From what I see, the Russian National Championship is being held on Tuesday the 8th of September in Balakovo. Laguta is scheduled to ride at number 16 in the field, which can be viewed here: www.irgiz.narod.ru/2009/08/2009aug34.html

Hmmmm...I think that might be a typo. If you go into the full calendar of fixtures on that site, it has the Final listed for the 8th, and I have seen it listed as the 8th in a few other places as well.... Of course, they may have recently changed the date as they do seem to have a tendency to shuffle their fixtures around over there

Yes, definitely the 8th - I posted it on here the other day. And that fixture Emil and Artem supposedly had yesterday? Well it is on today - the date hadn't been changed, so they could have ridden on Tuesday after all. But the good thing is, today is the last league meeting, and next week are the last of the other fixtures, so they'll have no more excuses.

the Teams for Vargarna Västervik is up and as expected no Laguta for Västervik but why are they so stubborn to go with Doolan? Billy F is better especially at Kråkvilan which is Billy former hometrack. Neither Gollob or Gapinski performed especially well earlier this season when Västervik visited Norrköping. The question is also why they chose to start away when they knew Laguta was occupied in Russia? I think Västervik will have a hard time winning totally or even manage to become best loosers. Because Vargarna is very strong at home and they rode well away against Västervik and now when they have Adams SH back in the team with Tai or King at the reserve i think Vargarna will do well away against Västervik. www.speedway.nu/2009/visa_prelNY.asp?matchid=331
