Typical, genghis asks for the Beatles then doesn't post his song. Typical impatient Schumi as well. I'll post my songs tomorrow.

I can admit to that - I really do hate being kept waiting, perhaps more than anything in the world. But you've had a week, and if anyone had been eight days in choosing flapperjack or mutts nuts you'd have been whinging for England.

Ah, but it's the Beatles and they had a song called "Eight Days A Week" (and no I won't be choosing that one - it's not one of their best), so I've got one more day. ;D And I'm much more relaxed about the Mutt's Nuts and Flapperjack these days, altough not quite as relaxed as when Sube used to oversee it and allowed the Mutt's Nuts to go on for three months once.

That's bloody good by his standards. ;D I could list the things I've asked him to do, but am still waiting for, although it might take a while. Still, he does all the important stuff, like looking after me. Now, where are these songs of yours?

So here's my choices. There's no way I can pick one and only one Beatles track so here's ten of the best in chronological order. 1. The first heavy metal record? Not quite, but with its clunky guitar sound, "Ticket To Ride" set new ground: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn_kNeorDSk2. The beauty of the Beatles is that every song was a delight, be it a single, B-side or album track. Here's a song from Rubber Soul, with Lennon in philosophical mood: www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2d2llB4oIQ3,4 & 5. I consider Revolver (1966) to be the definitive Beatles album. Here's three songs from a fantastic 38 minutes of music - two fantastic tracks from the pen of McCartney and the incredibly brilliant "Tomorrow Never Knows" from Lennon: www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8X4eoNfm5Ewww.youtube.com/watch?v=0LmG5lpkfb8www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVUzTZ5dgwQ6. EVERY Beatles top ten HAS to include this song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7NoOhmVMac7. What do you get if you take a Lennon song, insert a McCartney tune as the middle eight, and then add a 30+ piece orchestra? Well, you get this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiFYOn1AFms8. "Yellow matter custard dropping from a dead dog's eye". Poetry, sheer poetry: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBRss3HUipw9 & 10. Now for the best ever single. This is the A side: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BD3ovfZXO5QAnd here's the B side: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Imb4tYOk8GE11. OK, I've already picked 10 songs, but there's no way I can miss out this absolute classic from George Harrison, who stole the show on Abbey Road with this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDTi_La94UoSo there you have it. I could list 50 songs ("From Me To You", "I Should Have Known Better", "Help!", "Eleanor Rigby", "For No One", "Yer Blues" and "Here Comes The Sun" were all among the songs up for consideration) , but the above 11 tracks (7 songs from Lennon, 3 from McCartney, 1 from Harrison) are my top Beatles picks.
