Russell is correct, Topinka bailed out. Johnno kicked him into the fence.

I thought Johnston was fortunate to survive a second time.

Well, what a meeting!! Get rid of the Elite League coverage - let's have Premier League every week.
Hard luck on King's Lynn - a draw would have been a fair result.
Tough call for the ref in Heat 15 - he could have excluded Pinky the first time and Johno or Pinky the second. But all 4 back was fair enough.
Johno seems to have become Somerset's very own Messiah, while Darcy Ward is definitely something special.

Why does Pearson continue to say stupid things that make a mockery of our sport ? examples tonight........
He kept going on about Kings Lynn expected to win etc when Somerset were favourites.
Saying(again) there is a massive crowd here tonight as the cameraman is showing us a grass bank with about 5 people on, i appreciate there may well have been a decent crowd there tonight, but compared to other sports speedways crowds are shit, so lets not make ourselves look stupid, by even mentioning them.
When Gathercole passes Schramm he says "Schramm will twist it on and push Gathercole all the way" whilst Gathercole is as expected leaving him for dead.
someone needs to super-glue his gob shut.

It's not exactly scintillating stuff so far, is it? But from Heat 10 onwards, it was terrific stuff - great racing with the result also in the balance. Hopefully next time Sky are due to go to somewhere really tedious like Belle Vue or Ipswich, they'll switch it to Somerset.

Another gem Genghis ! what do you suppose the elite clubs would do if ALL coverage was from the premier ? Anyway what was so great about it ? it was ok, and the close score kept it interesting but as expected most of the passing was more the result of ineptitude, than skill. And this does look a decent track, what would you do, show Somerset at home every week ? because we certainly dont want to be visiting Rye House or Edinburgh again.

Why does Pearson continue to say stupid things that make a mockery of our sport ? Hatcham - but tonight the partnership of Pearson & Louis worked well, much better than that of Pearson & Tatum. I thought Pearson did a good job tonight - yes, he got a bit excited towards the end, but likewise I was getting excited watching it. And that doesn't happen very often with TV meetings, I normally find them quite dull and not a patch on watching speedway in the flesh.

Do you know who was commentating at Barkers testimonial ? it was Millard, and do you know what he was very good, probably because during the race he kept his gob shut, Pearson and sky should 'think on' and remember the old adage 'less is more'

Hatcham - no, you avoid the trick tracks such as Rye and Edinburgh. There's plenty of quality tracks in the Premier League - we'll see another them next week. Scunthorpe is a great track.

I expected much better. True, from Ht 10 inwards the action was better, but you see superior action in Poland on a regular basis. And the action generally starts before Ht 10 over there.

You're biased. You'd watch a completely processional meeting from Poland and still claim it was good. Stop being such a grouchy git. Today's meeting was a terrific advertisement for Premier League speedway.

Fantastic, super, awesome ;D
Best SKY meeting since Reading vs Rye last year, although I never saw that on TV.... was busy in the pits
Rock on PL and lets hope Scunny vs Sheff is as good though I suspect home win there.
Blimey, for once I agree with Genghis ;D Pip

And with paulco texting me to say "That was superb", it looks like the old Mongol is being drowned out. Perhaps expectations were too high.
