But surely "it will get better as the night goes on" ;D Well, someone will scream that over and over in the hope that some fools will believe it.

Jon Cook doesn't mince his words does he.
Had this been Belle Vue last season, Crump would never had allowed this meeting go on.

Can't remember exactly. Something about Lakeside don't want to carry on as they are going for the championship and have to think about the whole season, not just one meeting. Belle realise they won't win anything so will do anything to get a home win. Came across a bit arrogant.

Is there ever a day in Manchester when it doesn't rain ? its been about 70 degrees in London today, with barely a cloud in the sky. They should really consider putting a roof over the whole of Greater Manchester.

Cook seems to find the postponement quite amusing, but then i suppose he would, his little hissy fit has worked, all this bollocks about rider safety is a complete ruse, all that would have happened is races would have been extremely slow with the west ham girls trailing around at the back.

Is there really any point in racing around in pissing rain, though? If it hadn't been a sky meeting it would have been postponed without so much discussion.

And Charlie Gjedde just makes Chris Morton look like a complete fool by agreeing with the decision.

Chris Morton seems to have forgotten his hissy fit at the 1984 British Final if he thinks it was okay to ride on that. Conditions then were a lot better than this.
