This was a much better scoreline than I anticipated so well done to our lads and well done to Sheffield on their victory and going by the comments there were some really good races.
More of the same tomorrow please.

Apparently Vetlanda were concerned after Jonasson crashed in Poland at the weekend, but judging by that score he seems fine.
Also think we may have solved the mystery of why he was in Poland rather than here - his Swedish team had the track at Gorzow booked for three days of training.
I guess it would have been easy to fit in Gorzow's P&P as he was there anyway, but it's feasible his appearance for them was part of the bargain which allowed Vetlanda to use their track.

I think you are correct schumi.
Thomas had to pull out after his third ride on Sunday and it appears he has been suffering from headaches since then so last night it was a relief to see he was okay and able to ride.

Schumi, that's a poor excuse. Surely riding in an actual meeting should come above any training/practice days. And it's not as if THJ hasn't got any previous in this regard. He's taking British Speedway for a ride for the second successive season. He should been told to take a running jump and piss off out of British Speedway.

This is where we differ in our opinions Genghis, British speedway operates on too many days and does not offer the renumeration to expect anything different, WE need to compromise

But my point would be is that I feel we're compromised oursleves too much already and maybe it's time for the hard line taken by the Poles to be adopted. No-one fucks with Polish Speedway - it should be the same with British Speedway.

How have we compromised ? we still ride seven days a week and pay shit money, maybe its about time we found a regular race night.

And humiliation for the Yorkshire Tigers tonight as the Redcar "old boys" plundered all 4 Premier Trophy points at Owlerton: SHEFFIELD..401..R Ashworth..2,6,2,1',2 = 13+12..P Cooper..0,0,0 = 03..R Hawkins..0,0,0,1' = 1+14..J Parsons..1,1,2,0 = 45..R Hall..2,2,2,2,0 = 86..C Mills..2,0,0,2 = 47..J Auty..1',1',3,1',4 = 10+3REDCAR..551..G Havelock..1,3,3,3,3 = 132..R Kessler..3,2',1',1 = 7+23..C Stonehewer..2',3,0,3 = 8+14..B Wilson..3,1,3,3,1 = 115..T Proctor..3,2,3,0 = 86..B Compton..3,1',1,1 = 6+17..A Bugeja..0,0,2,0 = 2Taken from: speedwayupdates.proboards.comLooks like a thoroughly shameful display from the homesters, although no doubt a super show from the Bears.

Was very surprised to see this considering the home scores Sheffield were racking up last year - but I guess they've yet to find their strength in-depth as yet.

Absolutely shocked to see this scoreline after the way Sheffield have been riding of late.
Well done to Redcar though.

An incident packed meeting at Owlerton today, with the Comets losing Richard Lawson as early as Ht 2 and the Tigers losing Auty in Ht 12, although Auty had concluded his programmed rides. Anyway, the Tigers eventually won against the Comets with some ease: SHEFFIELD..531..R Ashworth..3,3,3,1 = 102..P Cooper..1,1,3,2',0 = 7+13..R Hawkins..1,2,2',2 = 7+14..J Parsons..0,1',3,2' = 6+25..R Hall..3,3,3,3,2 = 146..C Mills..2,0,1,3 = 67..J Auty..1',0,2',0 = 3+2WORKINGTON..421..K Doolan..2,3,4,2,1 = 122..J Branney..0,0,1,0 = 13..A Rymel..2',2,0,6,3 = 13+14..C Wright..3,1',1,0 = 5+15..A Compton..2,2,0,0 = 46..L Priest..3,1',0,0,1,1,1 = 7+17..R Lawson..0,W = 0Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.comI'll refrain from pointing out a notable score to young genghis, I'm sure he'll spot it himself. Workington's top order still to really convince - that's a very poor return from the Greater Compton, although it did include a couple of tumbles. Perhaps he's been taken lessons from his brother, who is the undisputed master of tumbling.

6..C Mills..2,0,1,3 = 6I'll refrain from pointing out a notable score to young genghis, I'm sure he'll spot it himself. Yes, not a bad score from Millsy, although even better is still to come.
