Amazing what a couple of guests can mean to a team. It's been a difficult season for the "muck men" on Tyneside, but a couple of guests - and some poor opposition - sees them gell together this evening: NEWCASTLE..551..S Boxall..R/R 2..W Lawson..3,3,3,1,3 = 133..J King..2',3,3,3,3,1' = 15+14..T Leverington..1,3,2',1,2,2 = 11+15..L Complin..2,2',1',2,0 = 7+26..A McKinna..0,2,0,1' = 3+17..C Branney..3,0,2',1 = 6+1SOMERSET..371..E Kramer..2,1,3,1' = 7+12..S Walker..R/R 3..B Johnson..1,0,0 = 14..C Gathercole..0,3,0,2,3,0 = 85..S Johnston..3,0,4,2,3 = 126..T Brown..2,1,0,1,0 = 47..J Sedgmen..0,1',1,0,1,2,0 = 5+1Taken from: www.newcastlespeedway.net/Very poor stuff from the Rebels.

No meeting in Byker this week as heavy rain causes the postponement of King's Lynn's visit.

The Diamonds returned to track action with a comfortable victory over the cruel, crazy town's Bandits tonight: NEWCASTLE..551..K Larsen..3,2',3,2,3 = 13+12..D Sneddon..1,3,3,0 = 73..J King..2,3,3,3,1 = 124..R Bach..1',2',2',1' = 6+45..M Lemon..3,1,1',1' = 6+26..A McKinna..2,0,2,W = 47..T Leverington..1',2',1,1,2 = 7+2BERWICK..391..M Makovsky..2,0,3,3,0 = 82..T Aarnio..0,1,0 = 13..P Clews..0,2',2,2 = 6+14..J Franc..3,6,2,3,2 = 165..S Burza..0,0,0,0 = 06..G Blair..0,1,1,0 = 27..G Franchetti..3,1,2,0,0 = 6Taken from: www.newcastlespeedway.net/Would've been closer if His Holiness the Weirdity had been there, but, as it happens, he was leading Lublin to victory in a Liga II meeting today.

Blimey, Burza is even weirder than Lawson, following a 18 with a zero. Can't Berwick use Burza at home and Lawson away?

And a win or King's Lynn proportions for the "muck men" against local rivals Redcar at the stadium formerly known as Brough Park tonight: NEWCASTLE..641..K Larsen..2,3,3,2',1 = 11+12..D Sneddon..0,1,3,2' = 6+13..J King..3,2',1,3 = 9+14..R Bach..2',3,3,3 = 11+15..M Lemon..2,3,3,3,3 = 146..A McKinna..2',2',1,2' = 7+37..T Leverington..3,0,2',1 = 6+1REDCAR..261..T Proctor..3,0,2,1,0 = 62..R Kessler..1,1,0,W = 23..B Wilson..1,1,1,2 = 54..C Stonehewer..0,0,0,1 = 15..G Havelock..3,2,2,0,2 = 96..A Bugeja..0,0,0,0 = 07..S Swales..1,1,1,0,0 = 3Taken from: www.newcastlespeedway.net/I wonder what track conditions were like? I guess that depends on what team you support. But Stonehewer only managed to complete one race, which suggests he didn't fancy it.

And for the second week running the "muck men" hit sixty plus: NEWCASTLE..621..K Larsen..3,3,3,3,1' = 13+12..D Sneddon..0,2',3,1 = 6+13..J King..3,2,2',1' = 8+24..R Bach..2',1',3,3 = 9+25..M Lemon..3,3,3,2',2 = 13+16..A McKinna..0,2',2',1 = 5+27..T Leverington..2,2',2',2 = 8+2WORKINGTON..281..K Doolan..2,3,1,1,0 = 72..C Wright..R/R 3..A Rymel..1,1,2,3,3 = 104..R Lawson..T,0,0,W = 05..A Compton..1,0,1,0 = 26..C Cook..1,0,0,0,0,0,0 = 17..J Branney..1',3,0,1,1,0,2 = 8+1Taken from: www.newcastlespeedway.net/So I guess this week it'll be the turn of the Barbarians to voice their negative opinions regarding the Byker track.

Could be more questions regarding the Byker track after tonight's meeting between the Diamonds and Yorkshire Tigers was abandoned following a Ht 15 crash involving Richard Hall and Paul Cooper. The result - a win for the homesters - stands: NEWCASTLE..471..K Larsen..3,3,1,2 = 92..D Sneddon..1,1,2,0 = 43..J King..3,2,3,2' = 10+14..R Bach..1,1',0,3 = 5+15..M Lemon..3,2,3,1' = 9+16..A McKinna..1,1',0 = 2+17..T Leverington..3,1,0,3,1 = 8SHEFFIELD..371..R Ashworth..0,3,2,3 = 82..C Mills..2,0,3,1' = 6+13..J Parsons..2,3,3,0 = 84..R Hall..0,0,2',0 = 2+15..J Auty..2,2,2,0 = 66..H Skidmore..0,0,1' = 1+17..P Cooper..2,0,1,1,2 = 6Taken from: www.newcastlespeedway.net/Both Mills and Cooper are off to hospital with suspected leg and ankle injuries - let's hope it's nothing too serious and that the fellows are back on track very soon.

SHEFFIELD reserve Paul Cooper is to have surgery to repair a badly broken ankle.
Cooper crashed out of Sunday’s defeat at Newcastle alongside partner Richard Hall who has severe bruising of the leg.
Said Cooper: “I’m going to be in hospital for a day or two more. I need a CT scan because there is a lot of damage to the ankle and then some sort of operation.”

Another comfortable home win for the Diamonds this evening: NEWCASTLE..541..K Larsen..2,3,3,1',2 = 11+12..R Bach..R/R 3..J King..3,1',3,3,2' = 12+24..D Sneddon..2',2,0,0,3 = 7+15..M Lemon..3,3,3,2,1' = 12+16..A McKinna..0,1',2',0 = 3+27..T Leverington..2,1,0,1,3,2' = 9+1EDINBURGH..381..R Fisher..3,3,1',0,0 = 7+12..M Rajkowski..1,0,0,2 = 33..M Dilger..1,0,1 = 24..M Wethers..0,1,1' = 2+15..K Wolbert..2,2,4,3,3 = 146..A Summers..3,1',2,1',0,1 = 8+27..B Bekker..0,0,2,0 = 2Taken from: www.newcastlespeedway.net/So, a bit of a disaster for the heathen Monarchs, with the future GP star once again taking a tumble while wearing the old black and white helmet colour. He's always doing that, young Fisher. I wonder if we'll be seeing him on his arse tomorrow evening? However, looking on the bright side, another uber-encouraging performance from Kevin Wolbert.

Well done to the Diamonds on a demolition job. Difficult to guage what kind of a meeting it was as I wasn't there but there seemed to be quite a few points in the bag that were thrown away by us without taking anything away from Newcastle. Matthew musn't be fit following his crash last night and hopefully he will be okay tomorrow. It was brilliant to watch Kevin's scoring coming through on the updates. What a signing he is turning out to be
