Darcy was excellent as ever, a joy to watch. Henry is improving, Graversen I feel for - he is trying so hard, but his machinery just lacks the speed whatever he seems to do. Sanchez is excellent to watch, and Schramm is doing well - to be honest Scunthorpe were disappointing. Bekker had some good races, Howe was decent.. And as for Lambert, his EF has to be the moment of the night. Got the most cheering from our spot, anyway.

I can`t believe that the Wasps were the highest scorers in those three wins The Wasps even managed two heat winners - King's Lynn have provided 41 race winners out of the last 45 races at the Norfolk Arena.

The Stars may have won by 33 points, but co-promoter Jonathon Chapman is rightly annoyed with the Birmingham management over the absence of Tomasz Piszcz from the Brummies line-up, as this post over at the BSF makes crystal clear:
The King’s Lynn Stars have this morning lodged an official complaint with the BSPA against Birmingham speedway and their missing rider, Tomasz Piszcz, from Wednesday’s fixture at the Norfolk Arena,
Stars promoter, Keith Chapman, was informed at 6:30pm on Wednesday evening by Graham Drury that Tomasz Piszcz would not be riding as he had dislocated 2 fingers after crashing in heat 15 at Birmingham on Sunday 3rd May. But Tomasz Piszcz had actually taken part in the re-run of that race, and had also ridden at Poole the very next afternoon in an Elite League fixture. After being questioned by the King’s Lynn promoter about this Graham Drury claimed that Piszcz had actually pulled out from the Poole meeting because of the injury. To clarify the situation Jonathan Chapman made a phone call to Poole promoter, Giles Hartwell, who stated that Piszcz only rode 3 rides because he was not performing well enough and as far as he was aware Piszcz was not injured and never requested to see the track doctor. After missing Wednesday night’s meeting Piszcz then returned to racing the following night at Swindon, representing Poole in an Elite League fixture.
The meeting on Wednesday was Birmingham’s 12th official match which means new averages are going to be issued within 7 days. The new averages have been calculated below and show Tomasz is the only rider in the Birmingham team who would have been due to actually improve his average if he had of completed the meeting, the rest have actually reduced their averages.
Tomasz Piscz 7.11 11 matches 53rides 109 pts 8.23 +1.12 Jason Lyons 9.98 12 matches 57rides 108 pts 7.58 – 2.40 Robert Ksizak 6.62 12 matches 52rides 76 pts 5.85 - 0.77 Ludvig Lindgren 7.00 12 matches 52rides 72 pts 5.54 – 1.46 Richard Sweetman 4.74 12 matches 50rides 57 pts 4.56 – 0.18 Ben Taylor 3.00 N/A Daniel Halsey 3.00 N/A
The figures show with Piszcz missing the meeting on Wednesday this actually gives Birmingham an extra 1.12 points advantage in rebuilding their team as his average will remain at 7.11 instead of increasing to approximately 8.23.
King’s Lynn promoter, Keith Chapman, is upset with the whole scenario ‘On Wednesday things did not appear right but after hearing Piszcz rode Thursday night at Swindon I felt Birmingham were treating us and the supporters like idiots, if a rider has two dislocated fingers then there is no possible way they could heel that quickly. I believe Birmingham have tried to manipulate the rules in their favour and in the process have damaged the credibility of the sport without any thought for the paying public at King’s Lynn or their own travelling fans. I also believe the BSPA need to take action to set an example and deter any other club from trying to do this again’
A Chapman on the side of the angels, who'd have thought that possible?

A Chapman on the side of the angels, who'd have thought that possible? He does make a valid point though, and I'm glad to hear he's making an issue of it instead of allowing the BSPA to brush it under the carpet.

I agree, he makes a completely valid point, although sadly he does manage to get a few facts wrong. But those trying to suggest Topinka's absense wasn't legit, are making a poor point. Okay, Darcy Ward might not fancy riding in Ht 1, but he'd get over that and - as he correctly noted in an interview during the Somerset versus King's Lynn fixture - he has no choice other than to ride in Ht 1 over in Poland, where the first race is for the juniors.

From the BSPA site;-
Kings Lynn have moved quickly to replace the injured Christian Henry with new Swedish signing Linus Eklof.
Eklof, 19, was first spotted by Star co-promoter Keith Chapman at last year’s World Under-21 meeting at Rye House.
He said: “He impressed me on that day and I’ve kept tabs on him ever since. I’m excited about him riding for us, starting in the Ashley Jones meeting on Wednesday.”
