I expect Poland to win this quite comfortably , with each of their 5 riders scoring double figures or near enough that . I fancy the Russians to follow them home at a respectable distance . The Aussies will rely on Crump and Holder for their points scoring as Adams is in terminal decline , Watt will have his limitations exposed in this company and Batchelor will be out of his depth . As for the Swedes , well Lindgren's poor form in Poland means they will be a one-man band with Jonsson the only rider to seriously trouble the opposition .

Does anyone know about the weather situation and possible back-up race nights?

I would imagine Sunday has been reserved as a back up - wasn't that the case a few years back when one of the qualifying meetings in Poland got rained off?

Sweden seems to be in the always favoured underdog position tonight, as no-one believes they will finish above fourth. I say that's perfect for the swedish mentality. Hoping for a much better showing tonight than in the previous two meetings. I don't believe we'll finish fourth

I don't believe we'll finish fourth The Swedes missed out on the final the last time it was staged at Leszno and, truthfully, only Andreas Jonsson has any sort of consistent form in Poland. I expect to see the erratic princeling Lindback flying through the tapes as the pressure mounts. Davidsson is miss and hit in Poland, while Lindgren is more or less useless around Leszno and will be found out by the superior opposition tonight. But the Russians could fall to pieces, so you could turn out to be correct in your assessment that Sweden won't finish fourth.

Well I'm ofcourse hoping for those inconsistencies to magically come cosistently good tonight. Bigger wonders have occurred. But if we retain the bronze from last year it's a decent performance. Gone are the days of Per Jonsson, Nilsen and Rickardsson.

I'm sorry but which feeble-minded quarterwit thought it'd be a good idea to have the giggling queen of glibness fronting the coverage of the SWC final?

What are the ramifications for the Ekstraliga if this is postponed?
